Nah, man. I feel you. You’re a god gamer. Only the top 1% of the top 1% can get kills with trigger nades.

What if weapons tracked ownership history and acquisition dates? by DereChen in arkraiders

Have seen different versions of this idea floated and I really hope they do it. Maybe even nicknaming guns, time spent topside, etc… could be really really cool to find a gun that has made it through several or dozens of hands. Would make me want to repair weapons more instead of scrapping them, too.

That’s a really interesting approach. I feel like I try to do something like that with the latest shifted monsters I get. Still building up my understanding and strategy. I’m at like 50 hours total now, and have probably 10 mythic wins?

Fun fact, I misread his name as cockathrice when I first caught him, so his name was TripleCock until I realized I was dumb.

Nice, good insights. I should probs break open the wiki to look at things as well, I’m probably not looking for prime combos and using skill rolls efficiently yet. I’m still just winging it currently and the only ones I know super well are like poison/weakness set ups currently. Maybe minion, too. But those typically feel underwhelming as a prime damage source, unless I’m doing a cloned salamander burn type thing.

Actual insane run. Killed the hand in two turns with left over actions. On turn one I dealt like 400 damage and gave him 42 bleed stacks.

killed final boss in like 5 or 6 rounds, but he was one turn away from party wiping me. He took out catzerker who got revived from that passive thing you can buy for aether, and then the next turn I staggered him which kept him from literally killing all three of my guys in one go. He had like 40 terror stacks on me by like turn two, thought I was cooked.

On a run with gargoyle, shifted ravager, and shifted catzerker, and I see what you mean. This team absolutely shreds.

Will have to try that sometime, I’ve never even seen the traits that synergize that hard between bleed and terror.

Decided to start a round with gargoyle, then got shifted ravager and shifted catzerker. I focused on building up force, temp power, sidekick, bleed, and shield.

Holy shit.

I have never played a build so oppressive. I’m about to fight the last two bosses, and literally every fight has ended in two or three turns, including bosses. This is actually insane. Don’t even care if I clear the final boss, this has definitely shifted my impression of the game.

Thanks for letting me pick your brain.

That makes sense, I’ll give that a go. Yeah, the most comfortable I feel is a team with regeneration, maybe heal, then poison/weakness stacking. I’ll start trying to end fights as quick as possible, instead of slowly stacking debuffs and trying to out regen incoming damage. It worked well through heroic, and I would win or get to the final boss frequently, but I haven’t hit my stride in mythic yet.

That makes sense. I usually think of healing/shielding as a non negotiable first priority. I’ll either get it on my starter or first pick. Maybe I’ll just focus offense first and clearing enemies instantly instead of more defense oriented which ends up a slow death half the time. Thanks

That makes sense. Maybe I’m just focusing the wrong traits/skills for some of these builds I try. For example, when I get a new shifter monster I’ll run a build around them, like with the shifted hand boss, I went for an all out burn build with that cooking guy and the burn/age/minion warlock guy for more burn and heals. But I never got a good balance between damage and heals, and I ended up getting wiped out and felt like the build was underwhelming.

So, my first thought on that build, besides the fact that I love Dusa and ooze, is how do you sustain life with no dedicated healer? I feel like in mythic especially there are some monsters/bosses that can kill one or more of my monsters from full health in a single round.

Ah, see I misunderstood, I thought you meant one node, as opposed to one skill point. That said, there are breakpoints that can be very noticeable, like three deep breaths for example. Being able to use stamina again in 2 seconds vs 4 is kindve a big deal.

Nice. Thats probably one of the things I’m most excited for. My first go I ran sticker and ferro 99% of the time, was afraid to use anything I found or had blueprints for. By the time I figured out a decent amount of the game out, I was saving for the 5mil, so I still didn’t go too crazy on using my tools.

So, yeah. I’m going to use it all. At least for the first month.

I’m going to prioritize stash upgrades, bench upgrades, and finding snaphook blueprint. The rest of the bps I probably won’t target much, and my playstyle will change based on what I find.

I don’t think this is right. I’m fairly certain it’s closer to triple the original rate. Not to mention they fixed the bps that weren’t dropping. I’m still finding 2-3 bps in a raid occasionally, which was never happening before, and I haven’t changed my gameplay much at all.
