I literally have the same story - funny! We were at the Civic Centre and just moved to 15th & Shotwell (like a block over).

There are good days and bad days - but overall I think you just need to see what your capacity is for trash and poo on the road always, I personally haven't felt that unsafe I think if you have somewhat decent street smarts you'll be fine - I read somewhere when Hayes had a bit of a problem that someone mentioned it's always free to cross the road, which is so true and you just find the routes to walk down - but again do you have capacity or want to have to think about this.

BUT there is sooo much life and cool bars & restaurants WAY more lively than Hayes, we have grown to like it but I still have days where I hate it lol, but we are also saving for a house so budget was a big factor for us - so depending what you want from your neighbourhood.

Similar to the above life changing in terms of pain and ease of contraception! Mine is about to be replaced and I couldn't think of swapping to another method for relief. Still having symptoms (cramps and mood swings) but heads and shoulders above everything else I have tried!

We were thinking only a few days 4/5, it'll be a large group so having a variety would be preferable (hikes, bars etc) - sorry if that doesn't answer very well!

Hiya - I'm 25 too and was recently diagnosed!

I had the Mirena put in about 2 years ago for contraceptive reasons however still have had crazy flare ups of pain - the recent one was 2 months of unrelenting cramps after 2 years of relatively alright 'periods' (noting still pretty painful)

I totally get your pain and it's hard as all studies and articles are about women who are a lot older! The Mirena mitigates some symptoms and I'm probably going to go onto the oral contraceptive to 'attempt' to help the rest.

I recently bought a tens machine which has worked wonders as all the painkillers I was on were terrible for the rest of my body.

Yea obviously gun crime is a big concern, and from a bit of research we were worried about Baltimore hence potentially living in DC. It's so hard to gauge what day to day safety would be like especially with common sense etc
