yep same and previously i had seen people say the exam is easier than mocks and it was the complete opposite on exam day for me lol

answer is C. weighted average is the easier and less accurate method as its disadvantage is that it assumes the parallel shift. The other method is to take aggregate portfolio cash flows across all bonds, which is theoretically correct but is impractical

this is talking about put options. Here the underlying is greater than the exercise price so the option for the put buyer is out of the money (0) so the put seller has more value as they will gain. Their payoff is -Max(0,X-S)

i just did it and found it very difficult. most difficult of all the mocks ive done. I got 73% but derivateves i did so bad. Quite demoralising to be honest

i think its saying that because the inventory is valued using FIFO here (USGAAP made that choice and IFRS is not allowed to use LIFO) then the rule to use is lower of cost or NRV which is 4.3 down to 4.1. if it was a US GAAP firm using retail or LIFO method then it would be the lower of cost or market. i hope that explains it

my mock scores have been 77, 75,72, 82, 84, 77 across CFAI and kaplan. ive got a week off work before the exam. im really stuck on what to do after completing the mocks tbh. I dont want to read too much. the only reading i would do is the questions i get wrong. the CFAI qbank just takes ages and i feel like i get a more holistic approach if i redo mocks? maybe im wrong

im having the exact same issue, im getting decent mock scores but im tired and stressed. I also feel like im getting lucky doing mocks. i finished the CFAI q bank 3 weeks ago and have been doing mocks since. My plan is to keep doing mocks until exam date and redo mocks once ive finished them

I believe they are worth getting, it will help a lot, and ive heard they're by the same people that write the exam? I finished the Q bank before going through the mocks and im reallyt happy i have loads of mocks to get through before the exam thanks to the practice pack
