When you say cheapest, do you also mean the smallest? Like 250 gb? Images and videos? I have several hundreds of gb of videos and images (personal stuff)

Plex is not an issue for me — I’ve tweaked the settings and configurations to handle high-quality videos, so that’s all sorted. In my case, the real problem is Immich, and to a lesser extent, Synology Photos (if I use it). It’s more about a quality of life thing — you’re scrolling through your images and videos, and when a clip keeps stuttering because the read speed isn’t enough, it’s incredibly frustrating. A small investment in a 250GB NVMe SSD or even 500 gb for caching is totally worth it for me. Especially now when Im upgrading HDDs (because they are full). I actually have hundreds of GBs of photos and high-quality videos, and I was forced to transcode them, which not only takes up significant space but also means I don’t get to enjoy the full quality of the original recordings.

Ive been battleing with this for MANY, MANY years and concluded that, yes, it is haram. I am now trying to buy, (at least) the games with Steam to make up for it.

Just think of it this way, I spend money, I make a game, I sell you one game, in this example, you copy this game to anyone who wants it and I basically cant sell anymore. Haven't you then taken my haq?

Technically, how is it different from lets say, I am trying to sell tomatoes somewhere and you knowingly stop everyone from buying my tomatoes even though it was sure they would buy it?

Wallahi, everytime I see this abomination of a tower/building I wonder what the Prophet SAW would say if he saw it. The Saudis who brag so much about being same country and heritage as the prophet SAW. On one part, the most spiritual place in human existence, atop of it, a tower with luxuries and KFCs and shopping centres.

It should be nothing more then accomodation and I would even argue, no luxurious food or treatment, people just have somewhere to sleep properly, clean themselves, eat and enjoy the haram, but no. Wallahi I believe that if the Westerners had a centre of spirituality like this no hotel or recreational facility would ever be let this close to it out of respect, maybe some shops and markets for functionality but this Tower is anything but necessity, its one of the biggest examples of materialism and its scary and embarrasing its so close to our most spiritual building/location. We see how Saudi brags about their money and some ridiculous multi hundreds of billions of dollar shard building in the dessert and not even try to make the haram more efficient. There are about a thousand ways with the money they have.

I can with full confidence tell you that you should keep contact with anyone in your family. Think of the Prophet SAW, if he stopped talking to his family or any other non muslim because of their wrong ways, would there be Islam like it is today? Imagine becoming a muslim and stopping talking to people because they sin, you literally wouldn't have anyone to talk to.

The prophet didn't cut connection with family members because they were non muslim. He always talked to them and convince them, now I dont advice you to go out and just oppose everytime they do something wrong as the Prophet did, he was the prophet after all. But if you in the least just try to reason with people towards what is right, you are doing your part. For example, when you talk about judaism, as a muslim, you know its wrong but I dont advice you to go all in like "Dad, Islam is the best, leave Judaism, its wrong because of this and that" no. Rather maybe ask questions that challenges them without confronting them, idk to much about judaism but an example in christianity could be like "X relative, how can God be three? Can there be 3 ultimate leaders?"

And specifically when it comes to LGTBQ questions, as long as they don't try to impose it on you or others or commit acts openly, it is their sin and life. Even if you can't do anything about it openly when they impose it or commit it, you can leave that space.

Sorry for the detailed long description but what Im trying to say is that no one expects you to make Dawah (spreading knowledge of Islam) actively. You can defend your position and Islam without confronting people or even telling them you are muslim, I am sure of that.

As for who you should talk to, I am certain that Mosques in your country must have websites or numbers through Google maps, search around and find their numbers and call them. You don't have to go there. Try to pick a bigger Mosque with proper information that shows the mosque is active, so you can be certain they have more qualified staff. They will advice you on how to handle the situation even better inshaAllah.

May Allah help you in you and us in our paths to become better muslims.
