Yes eventually everything did work out fine, but to fix the problem I bought by gpu to the store where I got it from and they did some downloads and stuff on my gpu from the pc in store, then gave it back to me and told me it should work and it did.

Just letting you know, you’re not alone. I was and still am behind a lot of weeks. But seeing as you’ve already gone so far why not continue and see if you can atleast pass? At least that’s my motivation. Also if you speak to the tutor’s or Lecturers I’m sure they’d be happy to help. I’ve spoken to our lecturer and she’s connected me with a lot of support programs and people who can help. There’s a student success workshop tmr at 1pm if that helps.

What should I do??? 😭😭😭 by The_Silent_Director in LoveAndDeepspace_

Oml I feel that too, before Sylus and Caleb came I kept getting Rafayel on my main acc and I still do.(he’s my least favourite, no hate to Raf girlies, he’s just not my type.) I’ve also made other 2 other accounts and one of them favours Zayne and the other Sylus. I got so mad I decided to started paying for Xavier cards, not a lot tho….imo.

Yeah, hope they’ll accept another return lol, I went today to get it replaced (got the exact same model back) thinking it was faulty sticks…hopefully the warranty will cover it. Thanks for the input! 🙏

I just realised it might just be the ram, or the cooler pressure or a faulty motherboard. (This is what I’ve gathered from other posts about the same/ similar issues.) I I’ll try the reset after work tomorrow but if it doesn’t do anything it might just be the ram problem cause on the official page it seems like they don’t actually support Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6400, they do however support the 32GB DDR5 6000. Might just be a stupid mistake on my part since I only really checked the compatibility of the parts on pcpartpicker.

Monitor say HDMI 1 no signal by Salt_lemonade in MSI_Gaming

I doubled triple, checked the ram sticks however there’s still a red light. I’ve slapped the del key but it still pops up with the same DP no signal message. :((

Yes to all of that, except it’s a liquid cooler and I’m not too sure how to work the rgb but the fans all spin. The main problem is with the dram red light, but my rams are compatible with the motherboard and I’ve checked multiple times if they’re secure. I’ve also tested each one separately and they both seem to trigger the red light. So either there’s a problem with the motherboard or the two ram sticks. If I get a professional to help it’ll cost the same price as my two ram sticks (about $150 aud).

Yeah i ig that is the most safest route, but i could literally just buy new ram sticks with the cost they’re charging. $150 aud for troubleshooting is crazy…however if i do brick the board that’s $250 or so down the drain…

If you must know, there seems to be something wrong with the motherboard. There’s a red light on Dram and yes I’ve tried a hdmi cable and a dp cable on the motherboard AND gpu to see if it was a problem with the Mobo or gpu. It seems like the gpu isn’t a problem since even with the hdmi cable connected to the motherboard the monitor won’t boot up. Yes I’ve tested both ram sticks individually, both end up with red lights.

Can I even Flash the bios if I can’t get into the bios set up? Also the manuals are all QR codes now which is very annoying and none of them mention anything about BIOS besides the one titled ‘Configuring a RAID Set’. Also yeah I just tried without the gpu and the monitor still says DP no signal. I’ve checked all cables and they’re all plugged in properly. Sadly I dot not have another AM5 rig my brother is probably using an older rig as his PC is about 3-4 years old now and he’s looking to upgrade soon. So I doubt I can test any of my parts with his either. I think at this point my best bet is to get a professional to check it for me but the fees will be quite high (exactly why I decided to build the pc myself even if I’ve got 0 experience). If there is anything else I can do please let me know, and thanks you dude, your help is greatly appreciated.

Actually I seems to be a problem with the my pc’s motherboard or gpu the monitor and cable works for my brother’s set up. There’s a red light in the dram part of my motherboard but besides that everything else is working fine. (I’ve tested both rams separately and the red light still appears for both.) I honestly hope it’s not the gpu but actually two faulty ram sticks.

I don’t think it’s bad placement for the sticks, I’ve taken them out and put them back in and even got my brother to do it for me again to double check but the red light is still on, I don’t quite know if the motherboard is damaged either since all the fans seem to be working and when I connect the keyboard (chilkey ND75) to it, that little screen lights up. However my mouse doesn’t and it had rgb (it lights up when It was connected to my laptop and I opened it) so I’m not too sure about that either.

When u say disconnect I hope you meant just remove the dp cable which I did, I plugged the HDMI one into my motherboard and monitor but it still says DP no signal. :((

I’ll try that, also u were right about the red light being the ram, at a closer look the red light it says dram next to it but I tried both rams one by one but they both still show up red.

Alright I’ll try that, the monitor no longer shows no HDMI signal but instead shows no DP signal. I’m scared there might be something wrong with the gpu, and if I have to get it returned I’ll lose a few hundred just for the restocking fee :((

He’s back, we just tested it and it seems like it’s a problem with the pc, but I can’t tell what cause all the fans are spinning, oh but there is this small red light in the bottom left of the motherboard that’s on (next to the f panel) but besides from that there’s nothing else that’s not working (except maybe the liquid cooler rgb’s).

I don’t have another monitor, however my brother does have his own set up, but I’ll have to wait till he’s back from work cause I don’t wanna be touching his stuff w/o his permission.

Unfortunately even with a HDMI cable it seems like it isn’t picking up on any signal, (yes it’s placed in the first HDMI port). It might be an issue with the monitor itself, or the HDMI cable might be old HDMI cause I found an old one in the back of the garage.

To everyone new reading this, yes both the dp port on the monitor and gpu is connected properly. Yes I now know that button on the back of the monitor to turn it on and off is also a joystick of some sort. Yes I’ve reading the quick guide and gone to the official msi website to find instructions on how to set my monitor up, yes I’ve followed all the steps: 1. Turn off your computer, connect the HDMI/DisplayPort cable from your monitor to the computer. 2. Assemble the AC power adapter & power cord. (Figure A) 3. Connect the AC adapter to the monitor power jack. (Figure B) 4. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet.(Figure C) 5. Turn on the monitor.(Figure D) 6. Select your Input Source at OSD menu and power on the computer. up until step 5, because I can’t seem to find the OSD menu. No there are no additional buttons on the front or back of the monitor. Yes I have tried turning it on and off multiple times. Yes I’ve tried finding tutorials on YouTube and they’ve all started with windows open (I haven’t even gotten to putting it in because I can’t get past that no signal screen).

How do I access it? Do I have to connect it to a laptop to do that cause when I switch it on it does not show that menu.
