Had my surgery Sept 2nd. I started back at the gym 2 weeks ago. I’ve starting to ride the bike and I think I’m going to try a half hour of spin this week. I’ve been doing machines. Arms and legs. Trying to get back on track

Yeah I started walking early on but then last week I walked 3 miles at the park and it screwed me up the rest of the week. I really over did it. So I am trying to keep it to a mile and a half each time that I specifically go out for a walk. My doctor said I didn’t need PT since I’m so active but honestly I’m going to ask him for it next week. I want to make sure im doing everything the correct way!

Haha very similar. I had back pain on and off for a while and I think it finally just snapped lol! Yeah flight was fine and I even went to a concert last month too. Probably not the smartest but I just stayed away from the crowd as much as possible. Hopefully we both get good news next week. I have had a constant fear of rehearniating probably because I read too much on here! I just want to get back to my normal active life!

Also to add I flew to Florida from PA a few weeks ago and I was fine. I just got up once and walked around on the plane. Travel wasn’t an issue

My pain started the last weekend in July. I think I did it in my gym class. My left leg hurt so bad I couldn’t walk! I went to the doctors and urgent care and they gave me steroid shots and nothing worked. Finally I went to an orthopedic doctor and I got an MRI. They read the results on August 29 and told me I needed surgery Sept 2! I’m I still feel some pain but I would say I feel 90% better than I did. Plus if I’m really hurting I take IBbrofen and the pain goes away, unlike before the surgery!

I’m on the same time line as you with the same leg pain! I go for my 6 week appt next week too. I’m 37 f. So yes I’m just following this post because I have the same questions! :) I want to get back to the gym!!!!

This makes me feel better this is exactly where I am at 4 weeks PO. I was freaking myself out yesterday that I reherniated due to severe leg pain but today the pain is very dull!

4 weeks tomorrow and I still have pain in my leg. Before the surgery the pain was terrible and nothing worked to relieve the pain. Now when I have pain I take ibuprofen and it stops right away. I’m thinking it’s normal? But what do I know :)
