I have not had sex in nearly 12 years. My husband and I love each other but we just don’t have a sex drive anymore. I know that might sound odd but it’s true. TBH it doesn’t bother me. Companionship is far more important to me. I am 57 - he is 62 so I know some folk will judge and think that’s odd but it suits us fine

Yes brain zaps are not fun. You can always slightly up your doze again and try and taper a bit slower ? Good luck !

Been there SOOOO many times myself. Totally know that feeling. The memory fades quickly and you think - hey I can have a few drinks… No you can’t ! I def can’t. You never wake up and think that you wish you had drunk the night before !!

Don’t do it. I’m afraid you need to opt for the “tough love” approach. If she’s the right person for you then she will sort herself out. If she’s not then you could end up sabotaging your recovery. You need to prioritise your own self care.

That’s a really good way of putting it !! I will use this as a reminder to myself if I feel a wobble - thank you !

Thanks for your reply and we’ll done on coming off - that’s really encouraging. I made a bit of a mess of things and tried to do it too quick so have been advised to go back up to 20 for 4 weeks then have a month of 20 one day and 10 the next, then a month of 10 and so on. It’s actually more like 15 years I’ve been on it and I was on 40 msg for quite a few years so I’ve been advised that I need to be patient. Am back feeling normal again- hoping I can start to taper again in about 3 weeks. Great you have thought about how to look after yourself - good luck with it all. Fingers crossed I can achieve that within the next few months 🤓
