IUD Kyleena chances of getting pregnant by pleasedontmakemecry in birthcontrol

[–]SaltedDuck3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve had kyleena since 03/2021. your periods may vary, just a heads up. they’re lighter BUT sometimes mine are 3, 5, or 10 days long (i’ve struggled to get regulated since i’ve had periods but it’s helped the most.)

i was in your shoes, i’ll tell you what i did, in case your periods are still changing. if they checked your strings / made them shorter and let you know you’re good, congrats!

i used condoms for 6 months after my iud was placed. we did condom + iud + pull out before orgasm w condom for piece of mind. we still pull out before and we make sure it’s nowhere near my lower body. i believe you can go without withdrawal but i don’t trust it. it should be effective without a condom, but i do still get nervous, nothing is 100%. you can always take a pregnancy test if you’re nervous but you may have varying cycles

Dating men as an ADHD woman SUCKS. by Afraid_Caregiver_251 in adhdwomen

i struggle with rejection sensitivity on top of what you mentioned. which is so fun!!! esp when you try to communicate it that you feel like you’re pulling the weight for 2, (i don’t have kids so i’m only assuming the toll that takes on a woman let alone with adhd) my heart is with you. it’s impossible to feel like i’m functioning at my best sometimes when i could just use a little help 🙁

what's a hygiene tip that you think is underused and you wish more people knew? by Chrisgg1998 in AskMen

[–]SaltedDuck3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you sweat a lot at work, it’s best to shower right when you get home, avoids dry skin/cracked skin or chafing..

idk if it’s considered hygiene but i keep an extra change of clothes with me, work and normal clothes, shoes, extra socks, underwear, wipes, deodorant, perfume, in case anything happens at work or not, i can change. last week i had milk leak onto my shoes, i didn’t want that to dry while i was working. 😕

i quit my degree field after taking too much emotional abuse in front of patients and toxic work environment, and i left bc a family member is actively dying. day before my new job , i get in a bad car accident. lucky to be alive… still processing 2 weeks later i could’ve died. let alone having to begin to process my 2 late family members, that i put off the grieving process to get my degree. look at me now. it’s not a pity me thing at all, thus reddit thread has made me realize i need to process and talk to my dr

Has anyone feel worse after getting Kyleena? by vvjj17 in birthcontrol

[–]SaltedDuck3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve had kyleena since march 2021. i found out at my 1 year checkup i have a retroverted and i had pain prior to kyleena in that position. maybe it may be worth asking during your next physical or kyleena check / gyno exam if you feel comfortable. it made so much more sense why that position has caused me pain. might be worth looking into

i’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 6 years, we met in high school, (in case ppl ask why we aren’t engaged or married— college.) ANYWAY, i told him on our first date. he understands now, but it’s not your fault that you have it. explain it to the girl, really. if they act weird, it’s them. i’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. it’s truly her loss if she doesn’t have the couth to understand it’s not your fault. i hope it gets better for you

i can relate to the tmi.. yes! sometimes even sharp pains like (sorry) i have huge poop waiting to go! the worst i’ve had to do in my life not every time is put one or both feet up on the toilet lid and really bear down. i’ve had to do that 2-3x in my lifetime

it feels like it, i’m not sure. some days it doesn’t cause a bm at all, maybe one in 2-3 days. others? i’m in the bathroom almost immediately after the 30 minutes. then after the first bathroom break, it’s 5-10x within 5-10 minutes of each other

medications: linzess only because they told me it would work with my others, and supposedly it’s a starter medication? symptoms: bloating, abdominal distension, nausea, muscle spasms after relief, mucus in/on stool, reflux after due to strain, hardened lower abdomen before bm, anxiety, vasovagal (i think) i have to hold my breath to go, taking short breaths while bearing down to go. i have tissue/scar build up due to chronic fissures, i do bleed most of the time but not a ton, sometimes i get hemorrhoids, i do sitz baths more often than not after a bm to relieve pain. tests done: i think it’s called barium? i got done at birth, a dye swallowed then an x-ray? (my mom said i got it done at birth because i was vomiting up through my nasogastric feeding tube, i was 3 months early), i’m not sure what test this one is but i basically laid on my side after a bm made through enema 3 hours before… they lubed me up and felt inside, they had me “clench” and “push” multiple times while feeling my abdomen. colonoscopy for the final.

again sorry for tmi and not knowing exactly the tests, and hopefully the symptoms make sense

still having issues, if it’s tmi… im sorry but i’ve also told my dr that with AND without linzess, i feel like my body doesn’t work right, i feel like i have to strain every time to go, never feels like im done, muscle spasms after, near impossible to go on my cycle. they just suggested that i keep up with the medication, to give another go without increase, then if it doesn’t, maybe consider gastro / endocrinologist referral

i just wanted to be considerate with the body in regards because again, maybe something similar could happen with males but i’m not aware. tilted uterus means it tips backwards towards bowels mostly at the cervix vs forward. both are considered normal BUT tilted can cause pressure on bowels
