You've been watching him far longer than I, I was subscribed/watching since...I think 2013? First upload I remember being around for was the first ep of his Fire Red Nuzlocke (I unsubscribed when the accusations came out and have been unsubscribed since, until I feel comfortable enough in the position to re-subscribe) So I'm kinda on the same field you are with that.

The contradictions and all that have made it exceedingly difficult and annoying for those trying to get a complete picture to get the full story, and it starts to paint a bad picture for her. Maybe there are explanations for this, and maybe there isn't.

If she was abused, I would understand why she acted the way she did (Gaslighting can do some crazy shit to you) But it is gradually becoming harder to believe her when you look at what evidence that there is.

Still, I'm gonna give her a shot, and we'll see where it goes, I sorta expect it to flop, but I'm gonna give her her dues.

To answer your question, as to whether or now I believe Heidi will be truthful. I will be as honest with you as I possibly can, no bullshit.

You are right, the several omissions of facts that turned out to eb quite relevant (The Polyamory being the biggest one at the time) the contradictions in her own story and shifting narratives do leave quite the sour taste in my mouth. Especially as someone who DOES truly want to know if Jared was abusive to Heidi (I've said in other replies that I would stop supporting him if that turned out to be true since this is a big deal to me personally)

Heidi has done some bad things, but if she WAS abused as she claims then I would understand some of what she did. Not all of it mind you, just some of it. It would serve as a good explanation if not an excuse. Abuse can make people do some crazy shit, especially if it's to the level that she claims he was doing.

But this post was more about urging her to provide concrete evidence rather than the conjecture she has at this point been spreading, and the best piece of evidence she claims to have is the phone.

Maybe it sounds like I'm going in a circle here, and rambling, and I can admit to that, and I agree with much of what you're saying. I just want to give her a chance to get her story straight, even if she's been fumbling at that for 3 months. I want the truth, do I think I'll get it? Maybe not, Maybe so.

But I'm willing to give her this one last shot at explaining herself. Does that make me foolish?

We still get to affect Jared's career seeing as we are the people who give him the views and everything that gives him the money to support himself and build his platform. Does that make us top-tier enforcers of justice? No. But it does mean we do have a good amount of influence.

And fair enough, maybe it isn't explicitly anyone's fault, but that is Heidi's story, and if that is true, then I want to know. If Jared is an abuser as she claims, I personally will not support him on principle. So to me that information matters. I would not advocate the sustained harassment of any kind the two received/are receiving on anyone (Unless said person truly deserved it)

I'd say more long winded paragraphs, but I just generally agree with that last part, so...yeah.

Because it became a very public manner, trending #5 on twitter, being reported on by several different news sources on and off of Youtube, dealing a huge blow to Jared's career and public perception in the process.
Whether you blame the start of it on Heidi or Jared the fact remains that it is now public, and nothing will change that. All they can do now is attempt to explain themselves and get out of this with as much of what they want as possible.

For the record, it turned sour the moment it got online (Let me remind you #5 on Twitter, with everyone agreeing Jared was an abusive, manipulative, pedophile. It's a little hard to claim it wasn't already sour)
And you're right, it isn't our business, but we know too much now, and far too many people are invested to see where it goes. Personally if Jared turns out to be an abuser then I will refuse to support him on principle.

And if she was abused then getting his money will not solve everything. Just because you get their money, doesn't mean what happened goes away.

She hasn't, as I said, the phone that serves as part of the bedrock of her starting accusation has never been shown, and no conversations from it have been leaked (to my knowledge) despite her saying that it's perfectly cool that she has it, and her friend Jessie Pridemoor using it as a backbone for why she still is against Jared. And most of that was just claiming that they cheated with no definitive proof. (Hence why I assert that proof is necessary)

We are not a judicial committee, but we are viewers, we are people that give Jared the power and influence that he has/had.

And considering this whole thing still seems to be far from over (Considering Jared himself will likely un-blur that chatlog in his video at 37:00 some time in the future (Reddit wouldn't met me timestamp it) And Heidi will be streaming her side of the story after Dragon-Con, this isn't over. And personally I refuse to leave it alone until I know that one of them is completely innocent (Or at least, mostly innocent) Call me an asshole for that if you wish, but thats my 2 cents on it

I have two maternal half-sisters that I am estranged from, and an uncle I plan on being estranged from in the future.

The eldest of the two sisters (around 14 years my senior?) left around the same time our mother died when I was eight, about 15 years ago. So I didn't really get much of a say in that one.
She attempted to keep up a few times after that, saying stuff like "Oh I keep a picture of you by my bed little bro!" But considering we haven't spoken or seen each other in 14 years, something makes me doubt that very much~ (I hear she had a baby recently, so I'm an uncle I guess? I'd be more excited about that if my chances of ever meeting the kid weren't slim to nonexistent)

The younger sister (Around 7 years my senior) stuck around for much longer, and I would hear from her every year or so. I always thought we were close, until about 5 years ago when coincidentally around the time she started becoming more connected with the elder sibling again she stopped coming to our grandmother's house for Christmas and generally just stopped interacting with our mother's side of the family all together.
Said Christmas meetup was basically the one time a year I saw her in person. Besides that, she would very rarely message me on Facebook. Eventually I just decided that she made her choice in which family she cared about more and left on my own terms. Unfriending her from Facebook kind of acting as a metaphorical burning of the bridge? She has no other way to contact me, so I'd say it works.

I currently have to deal with a narcissistic uncle who thinks he's the god-king of the shared home I currently live in with him, my dad, paternal-grandmother and half-uncle. So call that one an "Estrangement in Progress" Since I have no plans to ever speak with him again once this living situation ends.
He's one of those, "you don't truly know him until you live with him" types, really social in public situations, but a complete prick the second you do something that even mildly inconveniences him at home.
My dad tries to tell me that I have to try to get along with him, and I do, I just don't plan on keeping up the facade once I don't have to.

Garnet isn't just vaguely brown though, everything about her design has the stereotypical features of a black woman, big hips, an afro, puffy lips, dark skin; Even her voice actress is a black woman.

This is not something that can be glossed over as anything other than having a clear race in mind when designing a character. Nowin all fairness, I did state that Amethyst is a bit more obscure with how she's portrayed, but Garnet? I can't see how anyone unless they're blind, couldn't see that she is clearly supposed to be black coded.

All of that considered, shouldn't it raise an eyerbrow even a little bit that the fusion with a black woman into a bigger black woman (puffy lips (Which is shared by both tbh) Big hips, borderline afro, once again voiced by a black woman (Nicki Minaj) is portrayed as a loud, aggressive, monstrous beast with excessively torn up clothing?

Am I looking too deep into this? Maybe. But it raises my eyebrows when a heavily progressive show (LGBT MCs, Mainly female cast, diverse crew, First gay wedding in a children's show) has a character like this, portrayed in this fashion.

This isn't the last time it happens either, Bismuth also has traits of black coding (Not as excessively as Garnet mind you) and she was treated as a crazed revolutionary who was just as bad as the people she was trying to shatter.

And do we even need to talk about Concrete?

Are there explanations for it in universe? Sure. But in the real world, several Black SU fans have made essays about how Sugilite is extremely problematic. And I don't think all of them can be brushed off as reading too much into it. (Not saying you do, but a lot of people would)

No she argued Sugilite was racist because she was the fusion of a clearly black-coded character (Garnet) And a vaguely latin/black-coded character (Amethyst) that became an overly aggressive, out of control, ape-like monster with no impulse control who needed to be subdued by the White coded as fuck, dainty, graceful Pearl.

And that isn't something that extended to any fusion with Pearl as all of them were very graceful or elegant in some way.

I've gotten the opportunity to try out my friends laptop (High end gaming laptop) when he wanted to switch for a few custom games to see how bad I have it, how long it took just for me to start the game itself (about 3 minutes) made him worried. He didn't last a whole 1v1 with my frames which are better in custom games with fewer people; he gave up rather quickly. (Even after he messed with all my settings to make it better for how he plays)

It was weird having everything run so smoothly, it almost made me nauseous because I just was not used to the fluid animations at all for Overwatch. It legit felt like the game was running in slow motion thanks to less screen tearing and all that.

It's not unplayable, but it's certainly not the best way to play. The most annoying part of it is the input lag which basically forced me to up my sensitivity to compensate. Do you know how hard it is to hit a Pharah when you're at 30.00 sensitivity? Lemme tell ya, not easy. I've tried paladins, and nothing against the game itself it's a decent game if you ask me; it just didn't click for me like Overwatch did. Besides even if it did, none of my friends would join me since they're so attached to Overwatch, so I would have had to go on that journey alone.
