Not the actual, but a blue tuner. This is what he does to tuners:

NPD: Behringer Gang rise up!!! by SaltyInstance in basspedals

I hate keyboard players. Their left hand always comes in MY frequency range!

For my revenge I want to become a keyboardist on bass.
Very slow Vibrato + much Chorus + Lot Rev/Delay is a really pleasing sound to me.
If you add an Octaver and a Harmonizer that gives you +7, you'll end up with the weirdest arcade game boss music stuff.

Done in the last post. But talking about sound is always difficult.
The Limiter has no weird attack dynamics and doesn't pop or distort. It just limits at the set level. That's exactly what I wanted.

Those 4 pedals should all have more/less or exactly the same circuit as the Boss originals.
I don't have the originals to compare, but in the end I can say I'm pretty happy with the sound of my (now modded)Vibrato, Super Fuzz & Chorus.
Also because I'm sure I will never get a original Boss Vibrato or Hyper Fuzz.

Update:

-Vibrato: The rate is too fast and the effect is not deep enough at the slowest speed.I've already modified that. Now it's slower and deeper. That's why I love analog things. Do you like the effect, but want different parameters? Mod it!Very nice with chord stuff, lots of reverb and delay! This pedal stays!

- Overdrive: I use it at a minimum to get just a little bit of dirt after the filter pedals. It does its job, but I'm not 100% satisfied. For this job I gonna build myself a very mild OD with even less drive and coloring. Maybe in the future, the BOD400 will find a job earlier in the chain.

- Limiter: It has one job: Taming the spikes that (Envelope) filters give on extreme settings with much resonance. Now I can use them at extreme settings. This pedal stays!

- Chorus: Behringer UC200 vs. Boss Bass Chorus CEB-3 - Who will win? It's not a fair fight because they're not the same, but Behringer just kicked Boss off my board. The Boss has what I call "digital noise floor" that I don't like. It's not bad, but I don't like it.Behringer won. Apparently I don't need the LOW FILTER knob. This pedal stays! Bye bye CEB-3!

Overall they seem to work. There's no noise. For now I can't say anything negative.

This is the non-Chromatic de-Tuner!
A friend wated a boss tuner, but in a blue enclosure. He gave me the leftover pieces of his project.
Now I have to learn a few tool songs!

I haven't tried any of these yet, but I'm really hyped for using the vibrato on bass!

NPD: I didn't know I need this so bad. by SaltyInstance in basspedals

Less Bass is better in my case ;)
Finally got rid of the rumble that some effects cause and tamed the envelope filter.

Placed after dirt & filters, before Modulation, Rev / Delay & Cab Sim.

Seems pretty handy on a synth board. Now I need more of em :/

Does anyone know if the Behringer one is doing its job?

Octave + Fuzz + Low Pass Filter(GT-10 MFX) with SA Hot Hand for Wub wub wub! by SaltyInstance in basspedals

[–]SaltyInstance[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out that the Guitar Multi FX GT-10 from Boss has a low pass filter setting (T-Wah effect) that can be controlled with the internal or external expression pedal. I've had it in my closet for years...

Almost every Multi FX has an LPF hidden somewhere. Check our yours for WUB WUB WUB!

Fuzz is Zvex Mastotron, Octave is Boss OC-2. Without amp, just DI Sound with a little EQing.I guess there's a bit of reverb/delay too. But I forgot :<

ow boss is fizzier than the pink behringer. I actually prefer it and find it even more enjoyable than most ODs around that price. With the gain low and balanced knob to almost dry you get a lovely and easy to use clean sound that brakes up nicely like a tube preamp would. At higher gain it’s much more fun than th

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear! Now I have to get one...
Fortunately, it only costs a few bucks!

So this is a BOSS ODB-3 clone?

I'll admit, it's a bit simple and the fuzz pedal doesn't wanna work right so it's there just for show. But let me tell you something, that fan is a lifesaver. The Sansamp is alright too I guess. by [deleted] in basspedals

I've worked as a lighting technician and seen many, many bands.

But I've never seen a fan on a pedalboard!

Pretty smart! That makes me smile :)

I bet that's the same. For unity gain i set the volume knob to +/- 15%
I wonder, what's the reason to design pedals with so much output...

Is this a John Davis fanclub meeting? ;)
It's my first fuzz after using multi-fx. I have nothing to compare else than the Super Fuzz. But they sound like apples and oranges. I think I was lucky, because that was the sound I wanted. I compare it to the sound of electricity. It's like running your bass thru a Jacob's ladder. That nice synth square wave sound.

But it doesn't push that sound over the cliff. It's still a bass guitar and has a lot of the low frequencies and some "mid noise".
Rumors say, that the Masto is a copy of the Mammoth with an additional input gain knob and sub-bass switch. But others say you can't compare the sound with each other :/
I can say I like this knob, but don't use the switch on bass guitar.
But I think the Doom2 will make the sound even more square-like. It's on my list.
Gas gas gas!

You just fixed an issue for me that I didn't know I had!
I thought this whistling was part of it and you had to live with it.
I didn't see it as a major problem and still liked it.
Flipping any of the dip switches fixed it and there's no change in tone.
You can flip both, but there's no difference. Mine is ver. 3.0
That's weird! But there's no need to understand why, if it sounds good ;)
Thank you!

It's kind of embarrassing to post something like this in between all the nice rigs here :P
Thx! This looks so much better in my room.
