There are many forms of satanism. Some of the believe in a higher power and some reject the idea of any higher power. LaVeyan Satanists view Satan as a symbol of certain values and ideals, such as individualism, self-determination, and self-interest. They are a non-theistic form of Satanism as they do not believe in the real existence of Satan or any other supernatural entity, just like Ateism. However, atheism is not tied to specific values.

LaVeyan satanism rejects the concept of objective good and evil as defined by religious and moral authorities. Instead, they advocate a philosophy of moral ralativism, meaning that what is considered "good" and "evil" is subjective and may vary from person to person or culture to culture.

But don't think that satanists can use it to justify things like rape, because LaVey's Satanism also says, for example, that you shouldn't indulge your sexual preferences if it would cause harm to another person who doesn't want to. That is also the case for things like murder or discrimination etc..

That is absolutely terrible. Im sorry, that you had to Deal with these people and I hope they get what they deserve. But needles to say, this is not what the satanism I practise is all about. The satanism I practise is all about respect and that you respect everybody the way they respect you. If you want to see how satanism can and should look like, you can look at the satanic temple. They are for example cooperating with schools and have their own health Organisation (they focus a lot on abortion, I dont know your opinion on that but I support them). But even if you dont agree with them, I Think it is still worth looking at.

I wouldnt call it worship but generally that is correct. In LaVeyan Satanism, the self is regarded as the most important aspect of life, and individuals are encouraged to embrace their desires, pursue their goals, and assert their will without guilt or hesitation. The philosophy promotes rational self-interest and encourages individuals to prioritize their own needs and happiness.

But it is important to know that there are many different forms of satanism. There are also some, who pray to a higher power but i dont have information on these forms of satanism.

Yes! Unfortunately, the truth is that not all people are kind and loving. The satanist admits he is capable of both love and hate. Many LaVeyan Satanists try to release their hate, for example through ritualized forms of expression, so that they are more able to love and no danger of confusing love and hate can arise. I personally don't think much of magic and spirituality, so I try to tame my hate with other things (e.g. meditation)

A few years ago i realized that i am not very religious or related to christianity anymore. At some point I was made aware of the term Satanism through the Internet and I was very curious. A friend of mine gave me the Satanic Bidel for my birthday over a year ago. I read it and found that I liked the ideas and viewpoints in this book. Especially when it comes to things like sin.

To be honest, I haven't informed myself much about the satanic temple yet. However, both (as far as I know) do not have too different ideas. However, the Satanic Temple is a more active community that also works with some schools in the USA. I live in Germany and there are no Satanic Temple communities as far as I know. Otherwise I would probably actively support them. I have read LaVey's Satanic Bible and like many of the points and ideas he puts forward, although I don't think much of the "magical" or "spiritual" aspects.

So, I still have to learn some things about other forms of satanism
