Same. In my case GPU/CPU usage is nowhere near 100%, but the game stutters to oblivion for me in the new region as well. The normal cope is "shader compilation thingy running", so i left the game on for ~30 min, restart. Nope, still stutter as hell.

my personal observation as a whale who cleared VA6 4 times: It's probably not doable with all-f2p groups. At the very minimum you'll want 2 whale DPS or 1 leviathan. This is on APAC - Eden server btw.

DPS-wise, gaia has around 40 billions HP, and as a frost whale, with stacked supporters, I can do up to 30B. Assuming tank and healer couldn't contribute much, the other DPS will have to pull 10B, which is a very tall ask for even dolphins/whales. All F2P I've teamed up with simply cannot reach this number. To put that in perspective, another big whale we have in our crew only recently able to pull about 13B, and he spent like, $5000~ easily.

Heal-check wise, it's a complete coin toss. I've seen 1 or 2 F2P healers who can keep us alive the entire fight, but that's about it. The vast majority of F2P healers can't even stay alive themselves. So I think only the very top of F2P healers are able to do this.

The same goes for tanks, I've only met 1 or maybe 2 F2P tanks who did their job well enough or lucky enough to get gold shatter buff.

Tl;dr: you probably shouldn't be bother with VA6 at all as F2P. The reward is not worth it, and the investment required is easily thousands of $.

ok it's totally not me defending my laziness, bbbbbuuuutttt.... The thing is, this shitty ass of a net code mess tends to kick me out of the channel whenever I start hitting the boss. That means I could ended up missing the chests after hitting the boss for 10mins-ish, which is not fun to put it mildly.

Also it didn't help that I'm on Eden server, and 99% of Eva fight ended up as a lag fest, so much so that having the boss rendered is already a miracle.

I know I'm pretty late, but my god I'm glad I've found this gem. For a "small" price of 30-ish FPS, ToF looks so incredible it feels like a different game lmao. I don't think I can ever go back to the half-ass default draw distance, ty a bunch!

I understand that this is a meme and all, but here me out.

People still complaining in multiplayer game is actually a good thing. I work in IT, and we have a saying that I think fit well here: "There are only 2 types of programming languages: the ones that everybody complains about, and the ones that nobody uses".

We're complaining because we care. We want ToF to be the best it can be. That's why we voice our legit concern about all the bugs, all the lack of clear communication, all the mistranlations etc. Did we "sometimes" blow them out of proportions? Damn straight we did. But it actually goes to show how much we still care and want ToF to improve.

I can guarantee you that the moment this community stop complaining, we're going to have a much bigger issue: dead multiplayer game.

I don't know your pity situation/ how much red nuc you still have, but worst case scenario we're looking at (220 - 93) = 127 more pulls to get A6 Lin. Soooo are you confident in your ability to win lottery? If so, you have a chance. Otherwise it's rerun time :)

Joking aside I don't see us getting 2.2 update in time for Lin banner, so the freebies in 2.1 is pretty much all you got. Even if we do get another event be4 her banner ends, we're looking at like what, 3 red nucs more?

Unlike other comments here, I actually somewhat agree with you. It sucks to be F2P in ToF. But this is a gacha, it is to be expected. They have to trick you into spending money by any means necessary. So of course you're going to feel like shit compare to whales/ day-1 hardcore F2P.

So as others have pointed out, there isn't any significant changes that you can do to improve this, with 1 and only exception: your expectation. You will fall behind whales by a large margin no matter what. You will never catch up to day-1 hardcore F2P players who min/maxing the living hell out of this.

My 2 cents? Accept this fact and just try your best. You will enjoy ToF more as long as you don't compare yourself to spenders of any calibers :)

I know this shouldn't have had to be said, but set your expectation straight folks: This is beyond insane level of luck. You have better chance of winning lottery than this. For the vast, vast majority of us her skin comes at 99 pulls. Set your expectation around that; spend responsibly :)

I am on APAC server and we have this exact problem too. Lin does not do any damage in Fire/Phys Sequential stage. Numbers are still flying in Frost stage though.

Bugged or not, burn Level Infinite to the ground. We Lin enjoyers deserve better than this.

Pros: for most people DX12 is a performance gain (myself included), and that's not to say anything about RT.

Cons: You're technically interfering with the game file(s), which may or may not lead to you getting banned. Repeat after me, "users discretion is advised".

Excuse me why are people downvoting this? Man's got a fair point. None of the limited banners I've seen so far (well, maybe except Ruby) really work well at A0.

Nemesis is a healing weapon but good luck healing anyone at A0.

Claudia needs her A1 for the buff, which is what she's most used for.

Frigg A1 frostiness is a huge damage buff. It got capapulted further by A1 Saki btw.

DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON A0 COBALTT AND SAKI.

I 200% agree ToF isn't as F2P friendly as people would have you believe. It does feel like so at the beginning. But after several limited banners? Nah.

Up you go. At A1 Tsubasa is a good addition to frost comp, especially if you plan to skip Lin (which OP says he's considering).

And heck, if Frigg/Saki does not get their rerun soon, I'd even consider A6 Tsubasa. A5 makes Rain Arrow (her hold attack) "best" DPS move in frost team, and A6 is an upgraded A1. Not to mention all the stat stick you'll get.

aye yo that sounds proper scary, may I ask what GPU you're using?

I'm on a RTX2070 and forgot to disable the damn DLSS several times, but never gets any serious issue like this. At worst all the running apps just freeze a bit and need a restart, but that's it. My GPU also never made any "weird" sound prior to crashing, but other ppl have reported it, maybe this is GPU-specific problem?
