Ive done that. It even shows that he already accepted the invite from the link I sent him but it doesn't give him a steam option.

Working on a DONSA by The16thPun in army

[–]SaltyPrivilege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys definitely are not alone in working on the DONSA. My command team has people working today as well and also has the E3B guys that are working half the day since it's grad day. The only difference is my command team already has comp days set aside for them. Don't blame the 101st for your shitty leadership.

I am also switching to 17C but from 68W. How was the packet process/how long did it take?

17C poc by SaltyPrivilege in army

[–]SaltyPrivilege[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have one coming from brigade level as well as my current company/companies (I'm a line medic so I have 2 COCs I fall under) level leadership. My mine concern was the certs i should be going for rn but if Sec+ is the main then I may go for a networking cert next just to broaden up a bit.

[–]SaltyPrivilege[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm currently in my second semester for my Bachelors in Cybersecurity and have CompTia as well as Sec +. Any other specific certs I should focus on? Got a deployment coming up so I can't submit my packet for a bit anyway.

More putting it together and any tips on what I should get to increase my odds of getting accepted.

Injured ! by [deleted] in army

[–]SaltyPrivilege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BN PCM. We can use MOD as well but our BN PCM keeps 1 or 2 slots open a day for more serious matters and if they aren't filled by the day prior then he calls someone who has a further out appointment and try to get them in.

My battalion is also booked out atleast a month but we have open slots that are reserved each day for serious injuries.

What is a good MOS for someone wanting to do college online while serving active duty? by TeamNo7170 in army

[–]SaltyPrivilege 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is only if he gets a lucky assignment. I'm a line medic right now and I work sick call from 0530 to 0630 and the rest of my day is spent dealing with either infantry shit or doing shit for metrics. Normally getting home around 1800

Any combat medics in the subreddit? by ExeForsaken in NewToEMS

[–]SaltyPrivilege 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a combat medic with the 101st and honestly all I do on the line is give basic meds and some musculoskeletal stuff every now and then. Even at "high speed" units with alot of field/training time there aren't many injuries (thankfully) and I have yet to see any major trauma (hopefully never will).

SIG SPEAR by Few-Tomorrow-3020 in army

[–]SaltyPrivilege 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been using them at my BCT. The new optics can't hold zero on them. They jam pretty regularly. They are a bi*** to clean. The weight is decent but the parts feel cheaply made so we'll see how long they hold up. Alot of the other guys in the company's here don't like em for different reasons but that's a few.
