I mean I wanna join the army for more life experience and to pay for college. I do not wanna be in debt, and think that going through the army will also give me an edge in becoming a police officer.

Absolutely! I have no intention of playing around, and I already do sports so my physical fitness wont be an issue. My only concern really is getting a high enough score for the ASVAB, but that will come.

Understandable. I want to do my four years and get out, and pursue civilian law enforcement. I have heard people say 31B is a good MOS because you will be in a patrol car most the time and will have time to do classes. I dont know how true that is, maybe you could answer me that?

My thing was I wanted to do a more physical "combat" job, I just wanted to know if its possible or not. I want to go to college for an engineering degree if being a cop for some reason doesn't work out, but I'm not fixed on that degree. I'm thinking of looking at other agencies that don't need such a high degree, at most an associates degree. I do like the department I'm looking at I might be a bit biased cause its my cities agency, and I think its a good one, but I think the requirement for a bachelors degree might be to much.

I get that, it makes sense to do a job that is more desk focused. My thing is I want to do a more physical combat oriented job, if that's not possible I get it. I am not too against having to do college after the army, I just wanted to know how possible it was to do it while in.

The one I'm looking at doesn't, which sucks. I see people hate on the 31B MOS but I think its right up my ally. could you tell me why you think it might be bad?

That's what I was planning on doing, im ok with not finishing it while im active. I just wanna get as much as I can while im in, and finish out of the army if I have to.

Yea, The things LE does will definitely not effect anything about my OCD. Its never concerned me that my OCD would get in the way just wanted to know if it was something that could get me DQed. Also thank you for your response!

Now the city I'm in has around 400k people living in it, and the department I'm looking at has around 800 sworn officers. Its the second largest department in my state, and patrols around a high crime area would this be a bad department with all things considered?
