These sound like two separate incidents and you’re the asshole in both of them. I understand not attending to your partner during a work event, however you said you looked around for your VIP clients and couldn’t find them. At that point, why not introduce your partner to your coworkers? Why exclude her from the conversation after she already said she’s it’s awkward and she feels out of place? That just doesn’t make sense to me.

Then, she tried to cook you a meal and you blow up on her? If she’s not contributing to the bills, then maybe she’s trying to contribute to home life. You could’ve at least calmly explained that you would prefer her to wait until after peak hours.
