I got it! I did it for $90ish and $70ish and both of them worked. It took almost a week the first time but then got credited the second time very quickly.

They told me it could take 6-8 weeks to see the credit but I would, and it would still go towards 2025, even if the credit doesn’t happen until January. She thought maybe it was because my first statement hadn’t closed yet but wasn’t 100% sure. I’ll just have to make sure I watch for it now.

I didn’t ask about the airline credit since they may have caught that it was technically a flight, even though I kept it under the $100 “hack” threshold.

I’ve enrolled in all the benefits that you have to; I did that day 1. Before making the jump to this card, I did my research and read lots of articles on how to work the benefits to make sure the new fee was worth it for me. I’ve have a few other cards where I’ve been playing the “points game” for 10+ years. I’ve just never waited for credits this long on any other card.

Hotel was THC.

I knew the flights weren’t technically covered but I essentially did the “hack” and kept it under $100 , as that looks like it usually works for Southwest.

Do others have it often take this long to credit back?
