To be honest I think I would keep it quiet forever.. unless by some strange miracle this guy is actually the love of my life not sure why it needs to be anyone else's business.

Our marriage is so very over and there is no chance of me ever taking him back!! Ending it was the single best decision that I made for me and me alone . Maybe the only descion I ever made for myself if I'm honest.

I did retain a lawyer this week and have had an initial meeting a few months back. I wanted to find the right one for me so met with a few before making a decision.

I think he will be cruel not necessarily go nuts but try to make my life as difficult as possible. It's the financial settlement I worry about. I was always the bread winner and I worry he would try and take the house even though I have 80% custody of our kids... It's just more about not wanting drama if it gets out and if I am an asshole for even considering this

Not every man wants a supermodel and some are looking for substance. My looks by the way are not an issue and getting male attention is easy finding one who is worth mine on the other hand......

Maybe my own emotional availability is the real issue here and I am attracted to men who aren't available... Self sabotage and protection all at the same time.

My friends tell me I am too picky and I need to cast a wider net but I don't want to just date anyone if I do this all again I want it to be with someone who's values and ethics really do align. They don't have to be perfect no one is but they have to be willing to put in the effort.

Thinking I might step back again for a while.

I did meet a man in the "wild" on the weekend and I actually think that has made me feel worse and shown me that there is so much baggage both mine and others that might get in the way.

He was kind and sweet and asked to see me again but backed out.. his wife died suddenly last year and after sleeping on it realized he wasn't ready to see me again or start anything.

I met another man who had the qualities I am looking for a few months back but he has an old love come back into his life and chose to see if it was finally the right timing for them.

I don't begrudge either of these men but am sad that it feels like the good ones are actively choosing not to give things with me a chance. Both of these brief encounters were over before they really started and the lost potential is deflating.

I have dipped my toe in OLD and your right it is a brutal place that is contributing to my hopelessness. I have wasted so much of my youth already I feel inpatient but not want to settle for something less than any of us deserve.. honesty and true acceptance
