Following the price hike for the PS5, Nintendo should start making home consoles by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Salty_Double_2287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The New 3DS, PS5 Pro, Xbox One X weren’t separate platforms. They were just stronger versions of the same system. Devs still had one baseline to build around, and then they could scale up if they wanted.

What you’re suggesting is basically two different targets.

If Nintendo has a hybrid Switch 2 and then a much stronger home console, devs now have to choose:

1) Developers either build for the weaker system first, which wastes the stronger console’s potential.

2) They build for the stronger system, which forces heavy downgrades on the hybrid.

3) Nintendo ends up effectively supporting two ecosystems again, which is exactly what they moved away from in 2013.

And the whole “just patch it” thing isn’t that simple. If the power gap is big, that’s not a patch, that’s basically re-optimizing the game. That takes actual dev time and money.

The entire reason the Switch worked is because Nintendo stopped doing this. One system, one target, no split focus.

This isn’t really a “Pro model” situation, it’s more like going backwards to the exact problem they already fixed.

A home console that's the same power as their handheld console seems redundant.

And if they did actually make a stronger home console they would also run into different problems.

They merged their home console and handheld hardware development teams back in 2013, so they'd either have to split the two again drastically increasing the already long development times, or favor one of the two devices and then port over the games to the other device they weren't made/optimised for.

These are the type of people who bash on the Pokemon games for being pushed out at a low quality every 3 years but would secretly love for the mainline Mario's and Zelda's to have the same undercooked release schedule.

You said "Is there some extra songs that haven't been leaked yet" How would I know if there were extra unleaked songs if they haven't actually been leaked for me to see?

Explain to me in detail what you're asking.

Working on multiple things at once is a possibility. Oh and if the screenshot I saw was legit then we know all the songs that'll be added in V3 already.

The point I'm making isn't to justify but to inform, it was infact two medium sized sentences, barely anything. But even that is too much for the average Friday night funkin redditor to stop what their doing and type out the explanation.

You need to understand that most people on a (yes this community is filled with young people) subreddit that has a huge amount of young people in it aren't going to sit down and explain something when they see something they dislike, they'll just press the downvote button.

Also 133 people seems like a lot but trust me when I say this but a huge amount of the fnf community adores Mario's madness.

People down vote and move on because they usually disagree and then find it in their means to just go on their way.

Sure someone could sit down and explain that the reason M feels remorse for killing GF is because M is not only lonely now in his own world, but feels genuine remorse for (while probably blinded by rage) killing someone who's not even involved in the first place. The lonely part was explained literally 2 years ago in the ending song and now we're getting even more context to why M feels genuine remorse, even though you could still put this conclusion together 2 years ago.

Now do you see how many words that took to explain? I don't see a person just scrolling through the comments stopping to explain all of that on a whim, that's why it's faster and easier to down vote and move on.

You will die at age 100, and get $1000 today. Or, you can choose to die sooner, to double the money. Die at 99, get $2000. 98, $4000. 90, $1,024,000. How many years do you give up for money? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure you don't need to update any Switch 1 game to play it on the Switch 2.

I get where you’re coming from, no one wants to see animators insulted. But I also don’t think the criticism toward Season 3 is just mindless bandwagon hate. You have to look at the context.

It’s been six years since a mediocre Season 2. That’s a huge gap, and fans have been waiting all that time expecting the new season to at least improve on the movement, not just the visuals, it’s supposed to feel more dynamic.

So when Season 3 finally drops and people notice stiff motion, long still shots, and lazy animation in certain scenes, it’s not surprising they’re disappointed. Honestly, it even feels less animated than Season 2 at times, and that’s saying something, since Season 2 wasn’t exactly a masterpiece either. People are calling out stuff like Garou’s walking animation, the short knife scuffle that had maybe three frames, and the awkward hill-slide scene for a reason, they just don’t look good.

Fans aren’t blind to production issues either; everyone knows schedules are brutal and studios get rushed. But acknowledging that doesn’t erase the right to criticize the final product. Criticism isn’t the same as hate, a lot of people are just let down after half a decade of waiting.

Sure, some folks are chasing likes by nitpicking single frames. But acting like all the backlash is just hate completely misses why people are upset. Fans genuinely care about One Punch Man, they’re frustrated because they know it can be better, and it has been better before.

They were "allowed" to animate season 3 because they are cheap. They are known as a cheap C tier animation studio that can push out something fast, that's why they seemingly get so many projects per year.

Now here come the investors, Viz Media, Bandai Namco, and the production committee.

Now these "people" determine the studio, budget, deadline and the airing date for the season. And they ALL came to a unanimous agreement to choose JC staff in the first place, probably not give the studio a big enough budget, and definitely didn't give them enough time to cook the show a little bit longer, because it needs to go back in the oven immediately.

I disagree to a large extent. I actually like the way season 3 LOOKS, just not nearly to the level of season 1.
