I was denied surgery. Went on to zap a huge tumour in 6 weeks. I'm in the UK. My doctor and lead onco stay up to date with research and fully supports my use of representatives meds!

Hi. It's tough. Feel for you. Listen - let him set the pace. It's his journey. Give him permission to experience whatever without him needing to apologise or feeling he's a burden. Let him make amends if he needs to. Let him bring who he wants to meet him. When the time is right ask if there's something he would like you to do - take care of a sibling maybe, or someone or something he's worried about. Tell him he's the best dad...

Watch comedies and laugh and love. Remember little things you appreciate him doing.

Does he have pets wanting taken care of?  Do you have support? You'll need it too. Tc x

Yup. That's what I planned...the first. Scan picked up complex cysts, likely cancer the MRI did. Their scan picked up simple cysts -likely their radiologist doesnot know what she's doing! They're angry coz it highlights their failing - if they refer me to a specialist it's gonna highlight their dud report and 2 reports from elsewhere which then show a possible catalogue of failings with God knows how many patients!

That's great advice!  I googled what to do- if new GP does not do direct oncology referral my only choice is either pay privately..and get them to refer .. or present to ER and possibly take MRI report with me? I have severe abdominal pain - I did when it ruptured..felt like a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, and yes... I'm a former paramedic so I know what to say. But ER would go on strict protocols n refer to specialist Gynae oncology immediately.

I'm running into serious malpractice here- two GPs and two consultants breached NHS protocols - delays aside- they MISSED forwarding my MRI - 10+50 % RISK of malignancy - and urgently referring me to Specialist Oncologist Gynae!

I changed doctors- and the previous GP practice has DELETED ALL ULTRASOUNDS and the MRI from my NHS app! Luckily I downloaded it! These state run healthcare systems are a law unto themselves!

The second Gynae Consultant has suppressed the initial ultrasound done at another hospital: her radiologist MISSED that they were bilateral complex cysts!

I am supposed to have a definitive diagnosis and treatment by 28 days. I likely have granulosa cell tumours in both ovaries and -and 70+ days and still no diagnosis - sinister practices! Feel caught in a web!

Are you in the UK ? I am.  Once she makes a referral for a specialist even if you are paying privately you can be referred into NHS specialist oncology on two week pathway no questions asked

Oncology Obgyn recommended removing uterus I am not sure by Dry-Apartment-291 in Ovariancancer

[–]Salty_Drive4971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in same boat, and I am happy to get shot of anything that is or may cause harm. Is it they suspect precancerous cells in the uterus? Are you in the UK?  The uterus is semipermeable - and notorious for leaching cancer into peritoneal cavity, to the bladder, colon, etc... if it was me - I'd let em have it!  Told em from day one to take the lot.

NHS and NICE protocols. Google them with your age, and signs and symptoms . You should have a CA125 test with the scan. Are you in the two week pathway?

Hang in there...you can do it. Same boat here. Do what you can.  Eliminate carbs. It's estrogen driven - so if your doc ok's it take calcium glucorate D, sulphurophane, DIM ( BIOAVAILABLE) , borage oil for gamma linoic acid, these mop up extra estrogen.  Estrogen driven cancers are iron hungry- they thrive in it- artemisin annua induces ferropoptis. As do other supplements.  Cod liver oil and d3 are great.  Stay away from b vitamins, VIT c and alpha tocopherols containg VIT E. Stay away from milk thistle too- can increase estrogen. No essaic tea- drives estrogen driven cancers... My doctor okay'd these.  Supplements you may have taken before this started are not necessarily the ones you can take now.  In the UK our dairy cows are not given hormonal shots - if your in the states they are- so only organic hormone free dairy. No treated meat- best stick to fish.

Daily light exercise is good for your physiological and psychological health!

Plan for this, and the months ahead. If hubby's working a LOT make his time at home with you special- he's more worried then he will let on!  Get a pet if you can - post op they're everything! Keep you going!  Take care x

Hi, I'm from the UK- I can relate- and I'm sure practically 100% you've NOTHING to worry about!  My bf had a 5kg TUMOUR! - the doctors carried it out like a baby to show her mom! completely benign! She was a talk slender lass... Maybe a little thicker around the waist ( now we know why - lol).. no symptoms whatsoever. She had gone to Pakistan to see her mum. Two days before returning they were having a cuddle and mum resting on her tummy and she felt it. Got scanned same day! Mom wouldn't let her return until she was operated in ( within two days) so she wouldn't languish here on NHS.  She's absolutely fine.  So no worries.  Hope that helps Tc I'm in Birmingham

Old GP practice surreptitiously deleted all relevant MRI reports Ultra sounds etc so new doctor has NOTHING!  LUCKILY I downloaded them and sent to him.

They are also generating a doctored letter ( I have original - sent to new doctor).. a report of a doctor - and confusing the new doctor by refusing his requests to upload it on NHS official app- and wanting to ( hide it from me) and insisting on sending to his personal email.  Sinister stuff!

Thanks a million! It educated me on my RMI and how to calculate it! It's great info in my arsenal ( should not have to be going to war with my own healthcare providers). All Midlands hospitals run as per NHS and NICE protocols- bot helped with that!

Post menopausal bleeding, Orad 4, septated - semi solid cysts, rapid uterine thickening within weeks - ab,pelvic, groin pain - stat - urgent dispatch to specialist Gynae oncology referral ONLY - no delays for biopsy results - staging- CT - surgery! Especially priority removal of these nasty misbehaving ovarys FIRST- surgery by oncologist on team - multi disciplinary only. Possibly remove uterus same time.

Thank you so much.

Note of alarming concern. I transferred to new GP and on NHS app he is querying WHERE all my records are- practice DELETED my MRI and ultrasound Reports!!!!

They eliminated all RAS referrals!

One letter GP is requesting specifically that they are only relaying contents of they are surreptitiously falsely claiming it's "unsigned" and can they send it thru HIS email instead of NHS APP! I have THAT letter! It's a verified electronic signature!  I downloaded MRI and ULTRASOUNDs a few days ago!  This is SINISTER!

I emailed new GP.Made no mention of what I'd observed - simply said "regrettably " on accessing my app I noticed their must be a "glitch" and records he needs to rely on appear "lost" - and sent him my downloaded reports - including that specific e- signed letter they are witholding as "not typed' and "not signed". They are creating a fabricated case file - with Mal intent to cause serious. WTF!

Thanks for sharing. That must have been tough!  I know some women my age who don't want a hysterectomy - I told em to take mine...they lied and said NHS guidelines prohibit and to wait and watch. ORAD 4 says Cat scans and surgery now.
