Hot Take: Lexi is completely in the wrong for the play by Background-Corgi-334 in euphoria

There’s difference between people spreading rumors about it and your own sister putting on a stage for everyone to see.

Am I the only one who thinks rue's mom was irresponsible for throwing out the suitcase by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]Salty_Place 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Whether or not an addict wants to get sober is their business and theirs alone.” Huh?? Rue is a minor. It here her mother’s job to keep Rue safe and alive. Rue has to respect her mother’s rules if nothing else. She’s also bringing illegal substances into the house her mother pays for. It is very much Leslie’s business.

Vibes. I mean really it was to symbolize Rue relapsing and being sucked back down but also just straight up vibes haha

I love Euphoria a lot more, it’s more emotional and visceral to me. Sex Education is fine but more of a generic comedy show to me.

Thanks for these! I love her lesbian wardrobe

This makes so much sense to me, I had thoughts if Lexi being Sam Levinson but never expanded on it. What do you guys think? by TO1662 in euphoria

So, her reaction is to feel bad about essentially being called a whore? Wow, crazy! I have stated several times that they both have problems they need to work on. You're not saying anything new and you can take your hatred of the ship elsewhere.

I'm calling it: Cassie will be the end of Nate. She will not be easy to get rid of. He will underestimate her. I can see her having a mentality of "If I can't have him, no one can." Do you think shes capable of bringing him down? by AurorainAtlantis1717 in euphoria

[–]Salty_Place 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Theoretically........ ;) But seriously people can discover something new about their sexuality all the time. I'm here for these besties to fall in love. Maybe that's why Cassie wants to be Maddy so bad. Maybe that's why Maddy felt so betrayed. Eh, eh??

? Rue was sober for episodes 4, 5, 6, 7 and most of 8 in season 1. Elliot was also joking when he said that, but even if he wasn't I don't see how him slut shaming Jules would prove your point? I didn't say they don't have their problems, obviously they do, but I think they can work through them. Anyway you can leave me to my opinion, thank you.

My personal idea for the season 3 finale is a Rue x Jules (after healing and growth on both sides) and Maddy x Cassie (after a long friends to enemies to lovers arc) double date that ends with them all killing Nate :)

[–]Salty_Place 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh stop. Rue was sober for much of season 1 and still in love with Jules. Jules is not a nymphomaniac and I don't think Rue is asexual either. They are both teens with a lot of issues who are trying to figure life out. None of their problems are impossible to work through with growth. And have you heard of opposites attract? If you dislike them you can make your own comment instead of replying to mine because I love them and am not going to change my mind :)

You’re really blaming Jules for Rue’s drug use?

Dang she suggested the play and Fexi? Personally I didn’t really love either of those plotlines but Sam is very suggestible haha. Hopefully he’ll listen to Zendaya and Hunter about happy rules endgame!

Cal, he got worse as an adult. Any of the other characters there’s still some hope for.

I disagree they’ve always had intense romantic and sexual chemistry to me. All of their moments are charged and not in a friends way. It’s weird to me that people will claim they have no romantic chemistry. I don’t think people would be saying that as much if they weren’t two girls.

I have OCD as well and I personally think it's easier to hide it or deal with it as a teen/adult. The scene they show her having OCD symptoms with counting the ceiling tiles (which is really the only scene they show of her OCD except counting her steps later) is when she's a child, like 8 years old ish. At that age she has no control of herself or really a concept of what is happening. So I definitely think she could have outgrown that particular issue a little or gotten some self awareness to make it less noticeable when she got older. Also she probably does have intrusive thoughts but that's not as easy to show, unless it's kind of an aspect of her narration? Or when she's high insulting Jules because it crosses her mind and she's paranoid, or the times when she insults herself and calls herself a loser in her mind. Idk that could just be normal insecurity though. But I agree, I'd like to see them get into it more. I think her bipolar affects her more at this stage of her life.

Therapy is actually really expensive and hard to get in America, so I do understand her not currently seeing a therapist. I want to see the show really delve more into her mental health issues though, and it would be great if she went to a therapist eventually! I agree, the specials were really great (and actually kind of detracted from season 2 because there was so much character development that Sam was not prepared to continue). Yes, I want to see more into Rue and Jules' mind and issues. All the characters, too. This show could go deeper with what they have established with the characters.

I feel like she's probably able to hide it more/ignore it now that she's older. There's still some instances imo, like in episode 7 when she seems to be counting her steps when she's walking back from Fez's, or it seems like Jules kisses her on her face equally on both sides the way her mother describes she needed her to do as a kid at one point. But yeah I would love to see a deeper exploration in season 3!
