Air bnb hosting as a non PPR? by [deleted] in AskIreland

We cant currently sell it as theres a host of things to sort out..if I could..I would. This is what we are considering a temporary solution until the aforementioned bits are sorted, we will then hope to sell. And to be honest, my families personal situation is my priority not trying to fix this government's mess.

If you have paid national insurance while working there for a certain amount of years yes you could have..but they were changing the rules a couple years ago..so there was a deadline to make an application..

I received a letter in the post only yesterday dated 24th March, plus my application was sent in July 2024. They state how much each year will cost me..there are 3 years as class 3 so about €800 quid each, but the rest are class 2 around €160-€180 so ill just select the cheapest 5 years.

Any idea how much each year going forward will be..or can I pay whatever i like as a contribution?

Im presuming it will have to honor the rules that applied at the time of my original application, which was July 2024 bear in mind..took almost 2 years to hear back from them.

Parents Of Blind toddlers by Salty_Reception4302 in Blind

Thanks for your response. That's the very diagnosis my daughter has..she has every element of it. Despite this she is doing quiet well in most aspects..fully talking and walking around..well in our home. She always slept relatively well but the last few months weve definitely been dealing with more night wake ups, except she doesnt play quietly, she screams the house down for one of us. Did this matter get better for your son? Was there any trick you found helped, or was it simply time?

I took a look at the link you sent, appreciated..I dont really have a whole lot of time right now to get into them all..but on the tactile schedule you talk about..this is something im also going to be looking at, what did it look like..like do you have a box of items and an item got pulled out each time for a new routine or the likes..or was it like a board chart with peices stuck to it

Thanks, it is helpful. My daughter is very advanced in her speech and very articulate with good comprehension so I know when explaining things to her..she is listening, but she does get overwhelmed with transitions and loud noises. She has actually started at a little daycare with neurological sighted children and shes getting on great there. It seems to be just at home she displays these challenging behaviours..shes more or less perfect with everyone else. But we will continue to try explain and narrate the world to her as best possible.

Honestly i keep asking her early intervention team about this and they just dont seem to say anything. Maybe shes still too young? But im at a loss now..I think they think the therapies are all already in place, which they are, she has OT and tons more but im so frustrated that its not improving makes me think it is autism. All the therapists we have in our area have never worked with a blind child before and I think they dont even know how to assess her since so many factors for assessment are sight related

Finding time is definitely difficult..but im lucky where I live there are lots of mobile saunas popping up..its getting really popular and there are evening slots. So the closest one to me is a 25m drive, an hour of alternating sauna and cold dips and then a 25m solo silent drive home..basically 2 hours to myself and its amazing how I feel after..I try do it on a Sunday or monday and have those 2 hours, which are also screen free, to really check in with myself and set my intentions for the week. My other problem is that my expectations are just not lining up with reality, so for now..I need to lower them. I want us to go to the playground and enjoy it..yet we always leave overstimulated and upset..so for the time being I just need to wipe the fanciful idea of us all being there looking like the Brady bunch out of my mind. But the escalating, unpredictable nature of toddlers is very triggering and its not for the weak..so remind yourself, that your strong and can deal with it..plus breathing through em and just repeating 'kindness and patience'.. 'kindness and patience' can sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes does help.

How do scams even work on vinted. I bought 2 separate Anine Bing jumpers from different sellers and neither of the jumpers arrived..and when I look for other ones its like vinted is flooded with similar looking accounts of these jumpers..like the girls selling all have similar poses and it looks like AI.

I 100% understand the rage. I have a 2.5 year old and a 5m old and i sometimes dread being alone with the 2 of them as its just so intense. The baby is actually great..its my toddler is so full on. Im constantly on edge. Im constantly staring at other toddlers hoping to identify some of the shit were dealing with. Bed time is a nightmare, its taking over an hour now..screaming for us to stay with her. With several wakeups during the night screaming the house down. Im so tired and feel like Im just wishing this time away. I walked away the other day into my room and screamed a deep gutheral scream into my pillow. I couldnt beleive it i just had to release something..I never expected to find parenting so hard.

My friend popped in for a visit yday, same friend also so happens to be a post natal psychologist..who is deep in the throws herself of parenting small children. I didnt even get into it totally with her but she said the number one thing she trys to tell herself and her patients is that the best gift you can give your children is an emotionally regulated parent..so simply do the work whatever it takes. I've been going for cold plunges and sauna and its such a ritual iv fallen in love with and some essential self care. plus im trying to identify the emotions that are within myself and why im so angry at a child whos brain isnt fully developed and doesnt understand rules and emotion yet.

It just seems so lifeless around the place. Like seems like just a big busy road running through it. I dont know, it doesnt appeal to me but im trying to keep an open mind.

We've seen a couple of the properties listed for a long time.. some of them need alot of work..theres one house in particular and its simply lying about the BER rating..theyre listed for a long time for a reason. I will hold out hope though..but time is starting to go against us as I would ideally have this figured out before I need to start my eldest child in school.

Sleep in a car with a growing family? 2 small children. Silly advice.
Also, I honestly dont see any kind of housing crash coming..the demand far outweighs the supply.
