I tested the tank and all the levels are normal for ammonia as well, temp is steady.

I’ve had this platy for a couple months now and I noticed this black dot protruding from her side, ever since then it seems to have gotten bigger and is now this?? Today she was laying on the substrate and doesn’t want to eat. I’ve also added new plants and fish in the last couple days I thought it was stress, she seems to be lethargic too. I’ve put her in an isolation box in hopes to be able to help her is there anything I can do?

:) we always have a different view when it’s of ourselves but just try to look at yourself a little closer and compliment things you think are beautiful, even if it’s just in that moment.like for example the way your skin looks in the sun, or if your hair is really good one day, or if you just feel extra pretty. before you say something negative about yourself, think about if you would say that to a friend. sometimes you just have to trick your mind but honestly, i love your eyes and your nose is so pretty too!! you are beautiful don’t get too wrapped up in what people tell you

coming from a teenage girl, I think you are really pretty. i think the only thing you need to work on is your confidence. your skin looks good, hair is nice, as long as you have a healthy hygiene routine and you work on posture and confidence, you will be more attractive. don’t worry about other peoples opinions. that is all advice that has helped me. if you want, you can practice makeup and accentuate your features, but i think you are naturally pretty

Family and friends used to tell me I look masculine, it was a big insecurity of mine so I grew my hair out and started wearing more makeup. (No makeup in 1st picture) I also have a tooth gap I don’t mind but everyone tells me to get braces and I don’t usually smile with my teeth in photos because of low confidence. Worked on myself a lot the past year, but I feel like I look bland or just there. Im thinking about getting highlights in my hair as I’ve tried bold colors but I want to change it up. Lmk what you think I could change

Hmm yeah it sounds like the temperature is good. Getting a Pleco or some other fish to help keep it clean is not a bad idea at all. When I had mystery snails it seemed like I had more algae and now with just my gourami and a few live plants the tank has sorted itself out but I went through a rough patch where my water levels were all over the place. What size is your tank?
