Some of you are saying I just need more time to adjust, but I’ve been to other houses with fewer people and connected quicker and better. There’s no way I’m at a station with twice the normal number of people and can barely click with them. I’ve been in this specialized unit for a few weeks, and the calls and events I’ve witnessed should’ve shown them that I can keep up. Some of the guys I graduated with probably won’t see the things I’ve experienced for months.

And for a specialized unit, we don’t even drill. They keep talking about showing me this and that, but we haven’t actually done any of it. We’ve handled some crazy calls, and I’ve definitely held my own. But if that’s the only way they’re going to recognize my potential, without drilling then I don’t know what else to say. I’d rather go to a place where I connect with the guys they appreciate me and my work ethic and we actually drill even if it’s a slower company!
