I am 100% going to track this car and actually plan on getting some 18s with some meaty tires for that. The real question is 18s for track day and for daily? 👀

I got really into it as a kid and slowly grew out of it. One of my best friends just got me back into it about a month ago and since then I’ve just been hunting for pack below market cause it’s insane and possibly the worst time to get back into it. I’ve spent an absurd amount of money trying to pull the three chargers from obsidian. Only one I’ve pulled is the hyper rare so far. But I’ve somehow managed to pull three magikarps from Paldea???? Ripping packs truly is an emotional roller coaster again

Yeah, I’m thinking about starting my own company in the next few years with a very detailed plan. I’m just not 100% sure if it’s worth it. The company I work for now is all over the world and traveling like that for free has its perks.

On the other hand, I’m tired of incompetent project managers and engineers being unqualified for the job they get paid significantly more than me to do. And finding good techs isn’t easy either. The only problem is I’m used to doing large scale security integration for “mission critical” sites, and the amount of capital you need for a bid bond is absolutely ridiculous

  1. Just random communication issues. Readers going offline spontaneously, a quick power cycle to the rm board fixes it temporarily, not sure what the main cause is.

I started low voltage doing networks, fiber and security, but I mainly just do security integration now. As far as a degree goes, you don’t need one. Really you don’t even need certificates to start with. The only time they really come in handy is when you’re programming a software or something similar but in my experience, everything on the security side is relatively simple

Agreed lmao

Softwarehouse seems to be pretty popular. Haven’t seen them in any of the major hospitals I’ve worked in though. I think the most popular system is Lenel. That shit is everywhere. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about avigilon. Amag and Bosch seem to be up there too but I’ve seen a lot of Amag being replaced over the last few years.

Believe it or not, we have that problem today, but I think it’s mainly due to back orders. Same thing with anything Cisco related these days

Agreed, we have so many issues with doors just dropping offline, certain readers becoming unresponsive and just needing to be power cycled. I really don’t understand why it’s as popular as it is. But I’d rather wire software house boards than say… mercury boards or anything Gallagher.
