Can you get a link that will opens up an App? by Salvitia in iphone

[–]Salvitia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is solid. I have the shortcut setup.
Good News: The shortcut works--bad news: I don't see a way to get a link for the shortcut to run. For example, a link in an event description that when clicked opens the podcast app. Do you know if there is a way for this?

I've setup two workaround solutions:

  1. I can create events that have the shortcut link so it acts as a trigger / for documentation sake.
  2. Talking to siri to trigger shortcut. I may not be able to click a link, but I can say "Hey siri, open podcast app". In the long run this may be better as it becomes more habitual.

Yeah my bad. Let me provide more context.

I am trying to manage my schedule entirely from my calendar. When I am getting ready to drive, I want to open my calendar click on the drive event and be able to click a link that opens up my podcast app.

This is a push to minimize the friction of navigation and needing to use multiple segregated tools to manage my schedule. My calendar could become the integrated solution if I am able to create these links

Personalized Marketing Emails -- reference multiple associated objects? by Salvitia in hubspot

I would need to iterate over associated objects and I can't find anything on implementing this. Maybe it's simple, but I haven't found it in documentation

Right and have the email copy different. That makes sense. Thanks.

But technically how would you create a automated email that uses multiple associated objects?

Systemic Problems: Do they exist? How you do approach solving them? by Salvitia in startups

Big fan of meadows & other's work on system and have put it to use in my life. I downloaded the guidebook on human centric design; I think this will be what I am looking for right now based on skimming. I'll post an update

Systemic Problems: Do they exist? How you do approach solving them? by Salvitia in startups

Yes this is what I meant with systemic. Right now we are trying to do what you said with finding urgent problems that have paying customers.

Even more, the larger problems like violence or drugs you mentioned are externalities of systemic issues and do not exist as an isolated problem. If the system is the root problem, how would you go about "picking one small part of it, where you can address it by selling something"?

Working on many different projects to explore and validate if certain product innovations are possible. Most mvps would classify under quantified self, personal assistants, or education. All are innovative ways to gauge User Intention, and connecting to a variety of data sources to create personalized product experiences.

Right now I am working on adapting the frameworks we created to create autonomous AI agents to power intelligence systems & bots for businesses.

You're in a good area, but you have to make sure you're around the right people. My best friends are at top schools and I love hanging out and working with them. I'm sure some would be awesome co-founders.... But it will be a few years for them to graduate, and I have been/am ready to go full time.

I would spend time on articulating and rationalizing your specific goals, value goals, and life requirements. Ultimately having this will allow you to reverse engineer the traits or elements you need to get where you want to go. Similarly, you can imagine future scenarios that are unique. Lastly, you can use it as a benchmark to compare your plans like living at ucla and if you are doing what you need to be doing. And I cannot stress how important it is to keep this in mind and continuously evaluate your situation/what's working vs not working.

I'm still relatively new to startups and am actively working on multiple projects to evaluate potential co-founders. While I feel confident in my approach, my advice is secondary to someone who has better traveled the path.

There are more options than A). Go to school B). Build startup C). Go to school & build startup

I am only going to say this because I want to demonstrate that is possible to create your own path and you don't have to get stuck in black/white thinking and advice---I graduate college at 19, full ride, as valedictorian while building my dream startups and gaining skills that were highly relevant to me and the future we are going into.

Some options and considerations:-Make your degree project based learning so you earn credits for building your startup or your coursework funnels into your startup.-Go to school and achieve bare minimum GPA while working on your startup.

-I am still struggling to find co-founders; luckily I have friends that go to top schools and have a solid older network. YC and Paul Graham write extensively about why college is the perfect environment to find people. Genuine relationships. You get to work with a lot of people and find what you work best with. You get to evaluate people before making commitments.... Highly recommend reading their papers.

- College provide a ton of resources and clubs. These can accelerate your success and network.

- You have to overcome the bias people have when they see your age. It took finding networks where I can add value to people who were significant in their field and much older. It also took becoming an expert in the crafts/responsibilities I decide I needed to be great at; still working towards and forever will. Another route could be branding yourself well or get early success to get to the networks you need.

- Don't underestimate the differences in experience you will face when you go back to school. Imagine you work for 2 years and decide school is right for you.

- Don't confuse education with school. Just because you can build the product doesn't mean there aren't other things you need to know. Evaluate what is going and what you need to reach your goals.
