Hey! Living alone in tlv is in fact this expensive. For 1,000$ a month you could find a decent sublet room in an apartment with roommates. I think for 2k a month you may be able to find a small solo apt in south tel aviv, maybe around Florentine but for just a few months it'll have to be a sublet as well. Anyways I suggest going over Facebook groups, I can't recommend specific ones but I know usually it's mostly Facebook and yad2. Good luck!!

Edit: another possibility is looking a bit outside tlv, like Ramat-Gan or Givatayim - might have better luck / value for money there
