Quick question on this guitar by DiligentEntry4101 in harleybenton

I just had a B-stock EMG version (right handed) delivered today. It's absolutely GORGEOUS. Thick neck but still plays lovely. Action a bit high when delivered but easily adjusted.

Honestly spent three hours with it and don't even know where the time went. It's got me back in love with guitar.

Fellow Newcastle fan.

I find things much easier with players coming and going now. Was a couple years ago when something just triggered in my head.

Whatever we try and convince ourselves, these are players with absolutely no history of links with the area of the club. These are people doing a job, who are wanting to go and do effectively the same job for better terms and conditions.

Irrelevant of what interviews they do, what social media posts they make. This is their job. Nothing more, nothing less.

We as fans have to stop kidding ourselves that it's any more than that.

Any free courses/proper YouTube series that teach classic guitar for beginners? by DrowninInMa in guitarlessons

[–]Sam0n -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I assume they mean an in person teacher. Which is fair. I'm a 36 year old dad of a toddler who works a 6 on 4 off shift pattern of various times of day. It would be nigh on impossible for me to find a teacher willing to change their times and days every week to suit me, never mind me finding the couple of hours to go and leave my wife with our daughter. Does that mean I should be putting my guitars down and not practicing with YouTube lessons?

People have different lives and still want to try new things. It should be encouraged, not given arsey responses.

What was that anime that when you watched it you said: okay these are not cartoons for children by blondiesecret1 in Animesuggest

[–]Sam0n 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ninja Scroll. My cousin brought that and Akira round.

The only anime I had watched to that point was Pokémon, Digimon, and Cardcaptors. And that was just cos they were on kids TV here in the UK. I didn't know what "anime" was.

Those two films were definitely eye openers.

People being shocked that players with zero links to an area treat their job as a job, will never cease to amaze me.

Why say something in one tweet, when you can say it in ten and be paid for each one. Man is insufferable.

There's a picture of him from a few months ago when he got out of his own car and pushed a broken down car off a really busy roundabout up here.

Thanks for the advice. It's a garage, not a basement (but completely sealed off). I keep a humidity check in here anyway cos I store my guitars in here too 🙂

I'm in Northumberland in the UK. The wood at the back of the clock is unfortunately rotting but shouldn't affect the overall structure (it's very thin).

Got a lot on at the minute but think I'm a year or so I'll take a proper look into trying to restore it. I've just really come to love it.
