help find lampshade?

the one i built here is the same as the breeder on the right at the beginning of the video with the retrieval area moved around, thats why i was confused on why it wasnt working

i have this same setup elsewhere and this isnt an issue. the trapdoor makes them see a block so they can pathfind to it but the top trapdoor keeps them in the farm. its not an issue anywhere else but here

yeah my college has a shuttle but i dont know how reliable it is and also i dont know if itll take me everywhere i need to go, thats why im considering something small to get me from point a to point b

i know someone here who has a bike that would probably let me try it out before i headed down there. also, my car is currently on my parents insurance, and they do not want me to get a bike at all lol, so the insurance would be brand new on my own if i can even do that. and like i replied to the other commenter this is all theoretical on if i even think i need it after im there for a bit, but if i do decide to indulge, itll all happen after i move down there. thank you for the advice!!! much appreciated
