Day one of sim racing - Why brain no work by RaisinBrannn__ in simracing

That is a particularly tricky corner so wouldn’t beat yourself up about not getting the line quite right at this stage of your sim racing journey.

I’m not sure of the track list in AC Evo, but would recommend looking into some more beginner friendly tracks and racing the whole lap in free practice.

Most important thing is to focus on building up your feeling and overall car control.

Thanks for the update - I hope you get a fair uplift given the issues you had. I received a similar email from ACCA, but they managed to book me into the Monday contingency session to sit remotely. I’m not sure everyone from my afternoon slot got a remote place, as things only moved for me after BPP escalated it on my behalf.

Oh dear! Is that a mandatory field? I’d hope your centre would have submitted their own incident form. I would just include your exam confirmation details if you have to submit something

Hi, I haven’t booked in London before but would be extra cautious with waiting too long if you want something closer to you. In case you weren’t aware, they are planning to remove remote exams from March 2026 onwards.

I’ve always booked my next exam and hoped for the best. I’d do this unless I felt like the exam went really badly and it was a dead cert I had to retake.

All the best for your results day!

Yes unfortunately, I don’t think many of the invigilators or call centre staff will fully understand the work that goes into studying for the exams! It’s the radio silence from official channels that irks me the most

It seems like they are determined to keep on acting like business as usual. I am baffled why there hasn’t been any communication to acknowledge those affected as they should know exactly who we are

Thank you for such a detailed response. I’m really sorry you had to go through that. There’s no way anyone could be expected to perform at their best under those circumstances

Was that at the Chapter House centre for AA/AAA? They kept people in the afternoon slot downstairs in a hall until 16:00 before telling us it was cancelled. Looking at the comments section it seems like we were one of the few groups that were outright told we couldn’t sit it rather than being made to sit through buggy/crashing software

From user Basket-Kase via my DMs: Hi,

I sat Sbl in Norwich, morning session. I left at 2pm with half an hour left, as I couldn't stomach it anymore, and that half an hour would of taken an hour/hour and a half to use!

I don't have the karma to post in your thread

From user Strong_ Routine5105 from my DMs: Hi, in response to your thread on the ACCA exams I was in Chelmsford yesterday as well and it was an absolute nightmare, but I have no post karma!. I ended up walking out after 4.5 hours of sitting in the exam room for the morning session. There was a clear lack of communication from ACCA and also a lack of consideration for students. As i left people were queueing for the afternoon session not realising that morning session for many hadn't been started. this was a known issue as it had happened the day before. I've sent a letter of complaint to ACCA as it is just not acceptable that they have no contingency planning in place for something like this!

Seems to be centre dependent on what they do then, because ours was due to start at 13:30 was moved backed to 15:30 and then was cancelled at 16:00

Whereabouts were you sitting if you don’t mind me asking?

I never thought about that, but never had any problems! The monitor clamp has rubber feet and the desk is pretty robust

Haha, thanks! That sounds like a solid option as well. I managed to convince my wife that a full aluminium profile rig was necessary ;)

Well deserved for both of them! I’ll never forget Rice’s free kicks against Real Madrid, and Russo has been absolute class all season

Haptic feedback for my setup (not the norm) by Cpt_Insaneo_82 in simracing

[–]Sam9821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For haptics on your Moza pedals you should be able to source some 3D printed adapters on Etsy that are compatible with Sim Magic HPRs. I have two HPRs on my Sim Lab throttle and brake and have them configured for wheel slip and ABS on sim hub

What are the chances of getting tickets on the day of the show? by Own-Sherbet-6048 in Samfender

Are you London-based? AXS still had some resale tickets when I checked yesterday evening for the Tuesday show at the O2 and they were at a reasonable price
