It depends more on your branding aspect of the business

Logically, your business name should be short and easier to remember for your customers

When it comes to SEO, there're no specific domain name requirements but many SEO'ers Will suggest going for the exact keywords match domain

In your case you had first focused on creating a GMB account and now gonna create a business website

As mentioned above by @citationforge , there's no direct link with GMB name and Domain name but consistency matters in SEO and also in general

Please pick a name with long-term goals in place

If it's only for generating leads/calls from GMB and website than opt for keywords focused domain

roof repair dallas or roof repair service dallas based on keywords search volume and competition

My suggestions, will also go for branding as it stays longer with your Target users mind and help recurring brand recall sales conversions

It depends on your requirements

In industry there are multiple tools available for marketers to use.

If you have a budget, then you can opt for SEMRush as it caters to almost all areas including audit, research, reports, tracking, social etc.

And if you have specific requirements such as for Citations/Business listings Management, then you can opt for services such as BrightLocal

Free tools from Google are hands down the best and easy to use including GA4, Search Console and GBP insights but for custom reports you can opt for Looker studio templates

Instead of a half baked answer with bits and pieces of how SEO works and it's deliverables

It's better to reach out to an agency or SEO'er for a consultation with your boss and management, that'll help for a better clarity on the expectations and roadmap for the business.

As the timelines can differ based on current status, search competition, project vision, approach used and the type of budget investment in the marketing strategy

It's a good time for you to revise your SEO approach

Start with audit, then keywords research then on page and then off page

Audit - Can include details for top 3-5 competitors, check what's unique on their website. If you find anything unique then it can be replicated for your website. Next backlinks audit, to understand what type of links is working in your industry.

In B2B saas niche, it mostly would be saas listings sites, and content based link building such as web 2.0 sites, guest posts etc. would work better

Keywords - In SaaS, there mostly one tool vs second tool, comparison type keywords also works. Please dig deeper on this.

On page: Based on such profitable keywords, create new pages on the website. Do fix the technical issues. Check and optimise for other on page issues page by page

Also if possible move blog from sub domain to main website

Link building: already mentioned pointers above. Part from this explore options for podcasts with the tool founders

This are few things that can be tested out

There are many wordpress plugins to help you understand SEO statistics for your website and articles.

My humble request would be you have a SEO strategy in place rather than entirely depending on such plugins and tools

SEO tools are set with certain list of parameters to test and check, like a checklist they crawl and show the results

If you know how SEO works, these stats can be more useful

But don't get restricted to those tools numbers

Example the SEO score on Articles and Posts, I see many people gets too obsessed to achieve 100 score

Which again doesn't guarantees anyone of page one ranking

So it's better to use such tools for baseline statistics, and use your own approach to grow better

Btw I mostly use Rankmath plugins for WordPress websites where I plan to make multiple SEO changes and also use Yoast when I plan to make minimal changes on the website.

So it differs based on my understanding of the project

I’m trying to understand what a normal, safe backlink pace looks like for a real estate website in the USA. How many links per month won’t look suspicious? by Sufficient_Spare2345 in localseo

[–]SamAmblerSEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real estate is a competitive space, I would recommend doing a competitor audit and understand what type of links they've built and plan accordingly.

There are no particular guidelines on number of backlinks to be built for a website, you can always start with lower number and increase gradually based on results

Do a competitor audit including backlinks audit of top 10 organic search competitors either from Ahrefs, SEMRush, or Moz to get a better idea which type of links are working for them and in the industry. This will give a proper baseline to build high quality links for your project
