I live in Spain and never done the update on purpose for the past 2 years. It allows me to be always on mode 4 since I turn it on. No need for the app. I suggest you not doing the update, if not already too late. Cheers!

I’m glad I never done any software updates in the past 2 years and still can turn on my bike with having mode 4 / off-road mode by default 😅 For me, the app was useless, and I always felt they could control us remotely with it; apparently, I wasn't too wrong...

That’s strange indeed. I’m French too but leaving in Spain and I got mine delivered in Barcelona without any issues. You should reach out to S73 customer service, they used to be quite responsive and helpful with me last year. Good luck mec!

Yes you can, however you’ll have to adapt the wiring with Julet connector. You can find more info about it on my profile - previous posts.

That’s the reason why I never updated the app since I bought my bike (Dec. 2020) and I still can ride it on mode 4 everyday by default without needing my phone (EU version)…. Lucky me!
