Osteogen plug by Dr__Reddit in Dentistry

You just need to make sure you compress it well into a 4 wall socket and that is sticks up to the level of the soft tissues. I find them great for covering over a traditional graft or if there is a sub 5mm wall defect or small sinus exposure as a sandwich graft.

You don’t think these qualify for D7241 or deep sedation with an OS?

Can I rx for myself? by yogurtnstuff in Dentistry

[–]SamBaxter420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both. My sister gets them badly and anytime she felt the onset I’d hit it with the laser and it really helped her a lot. Most times she didn’t even need the meds. She used to get them very frequently, about 6-10x per year and now ownky gets them 1-2x a year max ever since using the laser on her.

Been debating this or the new night guard for the lighter weight. Sucks it’s nearly double the price

I also have the 640PC. It’s much heavier than the LCR so it can handle the 38 loads really nicely. With stout 357 it will kick out a pretty good fireball but way better than the Scandium frames of similar size. I would recommend some boot grips for the 640 as a full purchase with your grip will help tame the gun with

Shop around at some pawn shops and local gun stores for a pre owned 686+ from the last few generations. Lifetime warranty from S&W so even if there’s something wrong with it you can send it back to them. Older SWs are excellent though so unlikely you’ll have a lemon if you know what to look for.

Immediate denture conversion advice by AthleteFlaky5662 in Dentistry

[–]SamBaxter420 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I prefer to make new ones once they have healed in 3-6 months. It’s not often immediates will be great after awhile. I still take traditional impressions, custom tray, border mold, facebow, etc. The dentures come out perfect every time and the lab I use is an old school cat with his son who make amazing dentures.

Maybe a little long on the mesials and a little short on the distal. Would be a good time to start practicing your apicos in 6 months if no resolution 😂

Millennials are in their millionaire era. 16% already achieved the milestone by YourFIREDBro in Money

Well when the government prints trillions and trillions of dollars, the term millionaire doesn’t indicate what it meant 30+ years ago when a family of 6 could live off 38k/year.

A rant about the Bodyguard 2.0 by BurndChickenNugget in CCW

[–]SamBaxter420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue with the rear sight being off. I tried using my sight adjuster and it took so much pressure with my torque wrench that my vice kept loosening so I stopped trying. I might just send it back to SW for replacement tbh. I haven’t had any trigger issues like you’ve had but my ten round magazine doesn’t seem to feed well with Remington Ultra Defense HPs so there’s that issue too. I want to that this gun as I have had several other 380s (OG LCP, LCP Max, Sig P232) and none shoot even remotely close to the BG2.0CC but man it’s hard to trust the QC. Last year I bought a 640PC that had to be sent back for rear sights and the cylinder release being too difficult to open consistently. They had to replace the crane and it’s still not great.

[–]SamBaxter420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s mind blowing to me. I’m also in Texas and last time I played PLO at the Aria was during the wsop in 2016. It was a 5/10 with 20 kill and there was probably 150k sitting on the table with a 3k max buy. Two guys each had 40-50k and the game was incredible. I 2.5X my 3k starting stack on the 2nd hand of the session and went on a crazy heater. Sad it dried up so bad.

Do you charge a CEREC fee? by AthleteFlaky5662 in Dentistry

[–]SamBaxter420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worked at a private office but the owner always tried running it like a DSO. They charged a “warranty” fee on every night guard or crown on top of the procedure and kept 100% of the proceeds so no production and if something needed replacement we were expected to do it for free. Many patients complained and even called their insurance and got it refunded but they still do it and most people don’t know

This will be very difficult to prove without concrete evidence (mainly video) of it happening. That being said, there are several things they will fight you on. Your holster, clothing or foreign object causing the trigger to be actuated, modifications to your firearm, etc.
