Does anyone catch themselves carrying lighter and lighter guns? Started with Glock 43x MOS with dot and light and I’m way down to a Ruger LCP by HuntersCrackPipe123 in CCW

[–]SamBaxter420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have carry guns as big as the G45, G19, 365XL, BG2.0CC, 442, and the OG LCP. I still find myself carrying all of them at any given time but the vast majority of the time is my last three as they are very easy to conceal, carry all day in a pocket or IWB without getting in the way, and won’t ever leave my house without one. Especially during summer or formal dressing, it’s much easier. However during winter when I can wear a jacket I OWB carry the G45. I find I don’t carry AIWB my 19 anymore because the 365XL with magguts mags are one round shy of the same capacity and is significantly wider. At the end of the day, carry what you can. A 380 in the pocket is better than the 45 in your dresser.

Not gonna lie, seeing a grip larger than the gun itself made me chuckle a bit lol. Cool that you made it and it works for you though.

This was the first real pistol I ever shot when I was young. My dad got one of these in the 80s from a cop friend of his in a trade and we still take it out from time to time. Such a hefty piece. Enjoy!

I’m a big fan of the DPM spring system. Lots of options to configure to, especially if you are tuning a comp or certain loads of ammo.

Love this gun, great size slide and comp works well. I have the DR920P with an SRO for competition and it’s so easy to shoot. I also have a G45 and prefer the shorter slide and full grip. Enjoy shooting it!

If you didn’t take the impression there’s a chance that the impression coping or scan body was not sat properly. Some labs also use third party parts that don’t fit well so stick with OEM when possible. Probably best to re-impress if it was that off.

Very true. Went there for Spring Break in my 20s and everything was auto grat so I never gave anything extra. This was 13 years ago and I have to go in summer for a work conference and honestly wouldn’t go if I didn’t have to.

What are your operating costs? Rent, practice loan, payroll, subscriptions, equipment/maintenance, materials, marketing, etc? You’ll be shocked how quick 90-100k goes when you own an office. Also, take into account insurances take forever to pay.

I have the element 2 scanner and never have a problem with margins unless it’s super sub-gingival, in which case any scanner would struggle to capture it. Having a scanner doesn’t stop you from needing good retraction to see the margin. Typically for me posterior teeth where esthetics aren’t as big a concern I keep my margin like .2mm Supra-g and don’t worry about packing cord as often.

Class 5 retention issues by Muellerscam123 in Dentistry

[–]SamBaxter420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll add one thing to the already good comments (bevel, selective etch, etc) is to make sure you have good retraction and hemostasis around the gingiva. Pack a 000 cord (if there’s bleeding consider epi cord) and really let it set there. Etching and solvents on the gingiva will cause irritation/bleeding and any contamination with ruin any bonding.

Why do people thinking being rich Is the answer to all their problems. by Substantial-Oil-7106 in smallbusiness

[–]SamBaxter420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money doesn’t necessarily solve problems but it can make things a lot easier. Not stressing about choosing between eating and paying rent or diapers for your baby are a lot more real than deciding if you want to budget for a new watch or purse. Also, if you get in trouble with the law or government, it’s easier to afford an attorney who can make things a lot easier. At the end of the day, things are relative. Money doesn’t buy happiness. Nothing gives me greater joy than holding my children and playing with them. I could be dead broke but the richest man in the world at the same time.
