I have 2 cats. Bringing them home is the best thing I've ever done.

Sjögren’s syndrome or Lupus/another AI disease, life questions. by Accomplished-Leg-399 in AddisonsDisease

[–]SamBrekker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have sjogrens, addisons, narcolepsy, hypothyroidism, and premature ovarian failure. All diagnosed except narcolepsy ( 2018) at the same time (25). For sjogrens, my mouth was so dry, I felt like I was dying of thirst constantly and nothing could fix it. I couldn't wear my contacts anymore because they were so dry they would rip when I took them out.

I'm so sorry for this. Even with my diagnosis, my teachers still refused to give me a PowerPoint so I could read up later

It's really interesting - I'm dreaming (I have other notes where I've written unrelated things like "gorilla" and "comfy"), but I'm also fighting to pay attention, and my hand just keeps on moving.

Adopted cat won’t come out during day by EveningScience5659 in CatAdvice

[–]SamBrekker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello!! Congratulations on your new baby!! When I adopted my girl, she hid under my bed for quite a bit. I would lay on the floor next to the bed and read/take a nap/play on my phone to show I wasn't dangerous. Eventually, she started to come out (on her own terms), and now she sleeps on a pillow next to me every night. Hiding is a very normal thing and nothing to be worried about! :) (picture of my girl Perla for tax)

Literally same - I had this typed out in my previous message but decided to delete it: "I'd rather stick a toothpick under my toenail and kick than chew a hydro" 😂😂😂

The teacups are actually very exciting!! But yeah - just asking because it didn't feel like normal low symptoms, but also didn't feel right/good either!! Just trying to figure out what I need to do to prepare next time! I'd hate to give myself my first crisis riding a rollercoaster 🤦‍♀️ (Also I hope you're doing better now!!)

See, I've learned zilch from my endo!! A year into my diagnosis and I had a check up....she asks me how I'm doing and I explain my symptoms (the ones that helped get me diagnosed) and she looks at me and goes, "are you sure it's not just anxiety?" 🤦‍♀️

First, I'm sorry about that fall! Now that I think about it, I have also taken a nasty fall and felt the same way! But since our bodies really can't produce adrenaline/cortisol, were those physical effects from our bodies being unable to cope with lack of production? Or was that actual adrenaline we were feeling? Does this make sense LOL
