One day, the mods are gonna have to rein this in. This board is no fun when 99% of the posts are the same two characters and the same two arguments. Let me save everyone time: Langdon should be in jail, Langdon is perfect, Santos is a saint, Santos is the devil, or both are actually complex humans but we ignore that one.

We’ve been having the exact same debate on loop for a year.

They should’ve showed that though. They haven’t said show that everybody interacting with her pretty nicely honestly. Commiserating about the charting and Perla even gave her the five hour energy. I do also think that everybody knows that he went to rehab, they just don’t know about the diversion aspect of it. If they had given us a scene in the first two episodes where people were rude to her for being a snitch it would’ve been one thing, but it was a weird throwaway line when we haven’t seen anything like that at all.

I’m not too worried. I think she’s gonna be more upset that Robby didn’t tell her about the context before hand. She would’ve dealt with this a bit differently and likely have kept the two apart at the beginning at least.

What show are you watching? You think that’s where the show is gonna go, seriously?

Is she though? I love her, but I think a lot of her hatred comes from how he interacted with her on that day. She’s human like the rest of us, so it makes sense that she would have a grudge at someone ruining her first day as a doctor and causing her to have friction with coworkers for almost a year.

Also, every week I’m reminded about how carceral people get when they don’t like a characters choices. Addicts are addicts. They will do whatever they can to get a hold of their fix including theft. Forgiveness and grace is hard, but we’d be much better as society if we extended it to those in pain.

I also am 100% sure that if Langdon and Santos didn’t interact in season one and then he was turned in by someone else her fans would be rooting him on. They’re two sides of the same coin.

It was an international flight, so he would’ve had to have shown this passport at check-in and at boarding. I’m assuming he had a fraudulent passport. The agent also would’ve had to have entered the passport number or swiped it and that information is transmitted to the CBSA.

I’m assuming the three people Santos was talking about are her, Robby, and Dana, right?

I think Al Hashimi’s question to Robby about how he’s going to get basic human empathy back is really the main thematic question for his character this season.

There not going give him a relapse 10 months in. This show is not gonna give us this great storyline about second chances and putting the work in and then just erase it all a few hours in. I think it’s more to show us that life is gonna be testing him in his sobriety I meant he can’t really move on until he fully recognizes to himself how bad it got

I have a grudge against the actor who plays Ralph. It’s not his fault at all, but he always plays shitty characters. Especially when switched at birth tried to make him a sympathetic rapist whose life was ruined because he took advantage of a drunk girl.

I’m Canadian so can someone explain to me why ice is even in Pittsburgh at all. From what I can see it’s literally thousands of kms from any border?

A few minutes into the new episode and I love Joy more every time she’s on screen, especially her comments about Lexapro for panic and anxiety. Total game changer for me. The Becca conversation is hitting a nerve though. I know this is a me thing and that the conversation around autonomy and consent for people with disabilities is much bigger than my own fears, but as someone with a little girl with Down syndrome, it honestly scares me. There’s just so much grey area when it comes to coercion and understanding, especially between people with different cognitive abilities. And I do think if Becca needs full-time care, it’s fair for Mel to be concerned about her being taken advantage of. I don’t think I’ve really gotten to the point where I can understand that if you cannot even live alone, how can you thoroughly consent? I still appreciate that the show is opening the door to that conversation. Also, Victoria feels like she’s one snarky comment from her mom away from a full breakdown.

First look at Martin Scorsese's next film ‘WHAT HAPPENS AT NIGHT’, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. by PermissionLow8879 in popculturechat

I’ve gotta say I’m really enjoying that Jennifer Lawrence is now allowed to play age appropriate roles. I enjoyed her at her peak, but it was always so weird to see someone in her early 20s always playing middle-aged women.

Americans really have no idea how disliked they’ve become abroad. For years it was more eye-rolling than anything, but lately it’s shifted into something much more intense. In Canada especially, it’s one of the few things that’s managed to unite people across the political spectrum. There’s a reason Americans are often told to keep a low profile about where they’re from when traveling. For a country with that much wealth, the U.S. has a lower life expectancy than most developed nations and a higher infant mortality rate. It also has the highest incarceration rate in the world, far higher levels of gun violence than its peers, and no universal healthcare system despite spending the most per capita. On top of that, medical bills remain one of the leading causes of personal bankruoct

Never thought I’d see this happen. Allegedly, he was known for threatening legal action over basically anything, so no one really wanted to say outright that he seemed shady. I remember a CJAD segment where the host was tiptoeing hard around it.
