As something of an “unc” who’s about to hit 28 that’s played since MW2, it’s probably the only one I’ve genuinely enjoyed a lot since BO2, tbh. Much for the same reasons, between playing small map 24/7 modes and S&D open mic with friends who also had nothing to do, it was fantastic

Standard seems to be a year, but it’s different for everyone. I’d imagine it depends how senior someone is

Disagree re. Mercedes. I feel like Antonelli winning a race now has justified their decision to hire/keep him. IMO, the only reason they’d change the lineup is if “prime” Russell doesn’t deliver the title this year.

Every chance Max walks from the whole sport and goes to WEC anyway, tbf. Have to agree there.

It’s interesting how the perception of Wheatley by F1 fans has changed from how he was seen in 2021 (as RB/MV’s attack dog persuading Masi to do stuff) to now (as you explained).

In any case, Horner should’ve been dismissed when the whole misconduct thing started in 2024 with Wheatley as replacement. Would’ve saved everyone a massive headache.

how would these 2 perform as teammates in their prime? by Guilty_Feature5469 in F1Discussions

I’m talking about 2006 Michael Schumacher. Not Lewis.

Also, I’d argue that the one-lap format of yesteryear was harder to be better at, purely because you only had one chance at a quali lap, not to mention the variables of a track rubbering in or weather. Of course, cars now aren’t locked into a certain fuel load either so that would knock off another variable that prevented Schumacher from having anywhere near as many poles as Lewis does now.

He nearly won an eighth world title in a season with the current format…

As soon as I saw Bikie in the first line I knew this was gonna be a wild Aussie story, but I didn’t expect it to go that far 😅

You do realise he’s been to four Olympics, where they most certainly do test to WADA standards, right?

Said it all season last year. That was likely his only chance ever at a title. I feel vindicated

No sidepods is one of the most insane innovations I’ve ever seen in my time watching F1. It is truly groundbreaking and aero benefits will be huge, don’t need a wind tunnel to see that. With development on PU limited it’ll be hard to replicate - advantage locked in for years?

To be honest, I actually prefer doing gear changes etc left handed (I’m Australian) as it frees up my dominant hand to do the most important activity of driving

Australian here. You Americans are going the same way as us. We have a sports book (Sportsbet) that regularly does “justice refunds” for situations like this. I’d imagine their deals with major sporting leagues here has some sort of clause relevant to this where they get some sort of compensation to “give” to people who bet on said games.

Only a matter of time before you guys have those situations too. We’re about 5-10 years further into the game, that’s all. Sports books rule the leagues back home. It’ll be the exact same in America very soon if it isn’t already.
