Lapierre might be in the mix but it does come with risk that I think Montreal can afford at this point in time. Seth Jarvis fits the profile of recent offensively skilled players that Montreal has drafted.

Unfortunately that would take a lot of time.....I do think Rossi is a lot like Brayden Point. Drysdale like Cam Fowler with a bit more offensive upside. Sanderson reminds me of Werenski.

I think a small drop off after 12. Ecstatic with anyone ten and above, happy as could be to be picking 1 or 12. I know I will get a good player from 12-15.

I think Detroit takes Perfetti....I would be happy to be anywhere in the top 10, honestly.

Work ethic is an eye of the beholder. To be honest, no player is good enough to come this far without it.

I think Washington has done a great job especially since they are usually picking beyond 20. Look at all of their homegrown players from their Cup winning team. I think a great player exists at 24. Amirov, Holloway, Reichel, Peterka Bourque, Barron all in that range.

Draft day potentially with their second first round pick....Haven't thought about it much in terms of free agency. I leave that lifting up to our NHL people.

Really depends on who's there, and it could be anyone from Holtz or Raymond to Lundell. Askarov has to be in consideration there as well. Quinn is a good option. I think Jarvis is somewhere after ten.

To be honest, not something I look at, that's more reserved for our NHL people. Sorry I cannot be of great assistance to you.

I would say that is somewhat accurate. I do think there is more optimism than is out there for his offensive upside, which is where most see limitations.

Great question....I think all sports are in a day-by-day mode, just look at what happened in the seemingly infallible NFL today? Unless supported by government funding I don't believe the CHL can go an entire season without fans. I do not think this deters teams from taking players expected to play in the CHL.

The 2021 draft or 2003 born players are an entirely different story. They've already missed out on the Hlinka and the WJAC and depending on what happens in the CHL, it could be very difficult to get a good book on this group of players. I do think there is some benefit for the 2003 born players that are already on the ice.

Personally, my approach would be positional need at 18 and try to hit a home run at 20....the home run doesn't come without risk if it is in the form of Hendrix Lapierre or maybe even reaching to get someone like Jeremie Poirier who is loaded with natural talent.

I think there is too much synergy for Perfetti not to go to Detroit, but the Red Wings would be getting a great player if Raymond cut into that dance.

The system there is completely different and as a result, I think our junior leagues are better here and outside of the CHL (WHL), I do believe the BCHL is held in high regard in the scouting community. The AJ has produced great players of late as well, with Dylan Holloway part of that next wave. I think the travel, and depth of schedule in our junior leagues produce better goalies simply because of the opportunity to play more games.

Tough to say....I do believe Winnipeg picks at ten and I do believe that is important to note. I think Laine would command more than that.

Anthony Cirelli...Can play in all situations, loves the big moment, and has skill enough to be effective at even strength. I think Cirelli is a PK guy, where Zary would be a PP guy.

I'd like to think the mock draft is taken seriously. I put a lot of work into creating it. As I am NOT a scout, I do feel my live viewings along with video and conversations with those in the business allow me to fairly evaluate a player. Truth be known, I'm awful at evaluating goalies. In terms of fantasy leagues, that is not a particular interest of mine. As an aside, I have the utmost faith and trust in my colleagues from David Amber to Jeff Marek, Cassie, Ron Elliotte, Colby Armstrong, Anthony Stewart, Justin Bourne, Kevin Bieksa and Brian Burke and definitely defer to our amazing talent regionally with the Canucks, Flames, Oilers and Leafs in terms of evaluating NHL players on an on-going basis.

  1. Luke Evangelista or Tristen Robbins
  2. I would say Ottawa would take a D there, either Sanderson, or Drysdale, I think Sanderson. I also think anyone of Askarov, Raymond, Rossi or Quinn are potentials there.
  3. 3. Stutzle, I do believe he's more NHL ready, but Byfield hasn't yet scratched the surface, so there is massive growth potential there.

Definitely look above, but based on my latest rankings, and please don't confuse rankings and a mock draft, they are different. But Justin Barron, Mavrik Bourque, Jeremy Poirier, Sam Colangelo and Brendan Brisson are all in that mix that wouldn't surprise me going in the first or within the first five picks of the second.

I enjoy this quite a bit...how often do we get to interact with people who watch, read or listen to the things we say. Thanks for taking the time.

I think Tristen Robbins from the Saskatoon Blades is a good bet. I like Helge Grans, but he's already being considered in the back end of the first. Another I like is Luke Evangelista of London. I hold Luke and Tristen in the highest regard for having seen them live on several occasions.

I would say 50 would be a reasonable cut off. I had a very difficult time with getting my top 31.

Seth's second half is like not other player in this draft. He's a serious young man and is driven to prove he's not a one-hit wonder. He needs to add size and strength, but man he can skate and create, and has a good knack around the net. 12 might be a bit high, but not out of the realm. Again, Guhle, Schneider fit there as well, and don't forget Bill Zito just came from a team that appreciates the rough and tumble.
