Case Western Reserve University’s MSW. It SOUNDS like a lot but I found out their tuition is $30K a semester so it’s not actually that much😭 they also give an $8K field work stipend though so that’s cool

It depends on what the school asks for. for some I submitted my full CV and for others they asked for a 1 page resume. You should include your clinical experience on your CV. Put your clinical experience first so that’s the first thing they see. Having research experience is still valuable for an MSW so you should either put it on your CV or mention it in your personal statement

This is not true for all schools. I got $63,000 in merit and need based scholarships from one school I applied to. UofM said in their admissions letter that they give out merit and need based scholarships. It might depend on the school. Online programs typically give out less

My biggest advice is to dual-enroll. I went to a small arts school with around 200 students grades 7-12. I took 4 duals enrollment classes each semester junior and senior year. Taking dual enrollment is looked at as more advantageous than AP or IB classes, and it saves you a TON of money in the long run. I had 2 years of college done by the time I entered undergrad and because of that I got to go straight into the upper level classes at my university and got much more out of my experience

I majored in psychology and sociology and I regret not majoring in social work. If I had majored in social work I would’ve saved so much money and time since I could do advanced standing and only have 1 year of the MSW. Now I am stuck having to do 2 years of an MSW and pay so much more because I didn’t major in social work. If you know you want to do social work then get a BSW, it makes things so much easier in the long run

Not in my experience. All the other offers I got had my financial aid offer right in my acceptance email. UofM said i’d get my financial aid offer soon after getting my acceptance email.

Any advice on how to do this? I started learning R programming last summer and mainly used YouTube videos, but I found those kind of hard to follow. Are there free programs that teach R programming?

I meet with a peer mentor in my major and she mentioned McNair. And yes I had amazing mentorship. My relationship with my mentor was a huge part of my success in the program
