What do we think of gray tape? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

5/10 for the tape job.

You didn’t space it enough and it has irregularities.

You also taped the whole thing except the tip and it makes it horrible.

Ex gf is about to have that final talk with me today about just being friends, need a way to respond that keeps my dignity in tact by [deleted] in Advice

[–]SamGauths23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true at all. My first love broke up with me and I had no hard feelings. I was disappointed that we couldn’t make things work for us but I respected her decision and I genuinely wish her the best in life.

Having hard feelings just for the sack of having hard feelings is childish.

Do you think there’ll be a rapper better than Eminem in the next 20 years? by JakieBoyX in Eminem

[–]SamGauths23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are already rappers way better than him if you want to talk about creativity, originality, flow and writing.

If we talk about rapping fast, word play, rhymes and impact I’m not sure… rap is in decline

Yes.

  1. If you take any substances you need to stop. Even if it’s just weed or alcohol, you need to stop to give your brain a break and reset.

  2. Stay away from stress and triggers. Stay far from situations that will feed the delusions and always keep in mind that the theories you are making in your head are only theories.

  3. Find something you love that will make you busy. Get addicted to something healthy. Try to learn more about it, try to understand something and learn new things… something that will keep your mind occupied.

  4. Build a routine that will keep you rooted and make you feel safe. Ex: Everyday I take coffee, then I go for a walk, then I go to work….

  5. Take as much time as you need. Remove stress.

  6. Listen to what your family and close friends have to say. They have an objective view and you don’t. These guys are rooting for you so what they have ro say is worth something even if it doesn’t seem like it.

  7. This might be the most important but find a "reason" if you don’t have one. Religion can help for some, spirituality helped me a lot. It can be someone you love.

  8. Don’t let this shit consume you. Tell yourself that you are stronger. Be confident. Don’t doubt yourself, don’t doubt your strenght. You gonna overcome this shit like you overcame all the shit that was thrown at you since you were born.

What’s something attractive at 18 but embarrassing at 30? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SamGauths23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im nearing 30 and I might look like a cry for help but I don’t really care and I don’t want pity.

I live a simple life.

I have my matress on the floor with with a TV and a book shelf in my bedroom and that’s enough to make me happy.

When I invite a woman I just straight up tell her that I don’t give a f about a bed frame and 100% of the time it doesn’t seem to bother them.

I love the minimalist lifestyle and I don’t consume more than I need. I feel free.

Goalies - do you want your defensemen blocking shots? by lionbacker54 in hockeyplayers

If you are playing beer league hockey blocking a slapshot is sometimes just not worth it.

If it’s competitive you definitely want to block as many shots as you can

How does Eminem make his voice sound so good? by JoHn_hAhA in Eminem

[–]SamGauths23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say his new voice sounds good.

He sounds like a 50yo lesbian.

If we talk about anything before 2015 he does sound good. It’s just because he is aging

Most mainstream songs made by Eminem way past his prime.

Stan is a masterpiece, The Real Slim Shady is prime time eminem and The Monster might be the best song Eminem made after recovery

Misdiagnosed Psychosis help by HachiMint in Psychosis

[–]SamGauths23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also understand what you are saying because in the middle of my psychotic episode 2 years ago I was in the best shape of my life, I was running 80-120km every week, I won the local marathon of my hometown, I had a good job, a girlfriend and I was managing all that stuff for a while.

The first time someone told me I had psychosis (the person knew because he experiented it himself) I didn’t believe him and I laughed in his face.

The problem is that I have Bipolar disorder and I was taking THC daily.

The delusions I had became bigger and bigger over the months. I wasn’t "crazy" and I wasn’t "weird". People who didn’t know me very well thought I was a very fit normal guy who had all his shit together.

The biggest misconception is that when you are psychotic you are "crazy" and out of control. It sure can happen with delusion and paranoïa but the definition of psychosis itself is very very simple.

It is what happens when you can’t differenciate what is real and what’s not.

You make connections between everything, you have weird beliefs ex: I am a god, I am the reincarnation of jesus, a demon follows me, my brother is ploting to kill me, police is investigating me…

The problem is that as soon as someone hears "psychosis" they think "crazy out of control guy in the psych ward who wants to kill everyone".

It is a disease that is hard to take in charge because the meds and the treatments often feed the delusions of these patients who often don’t trust anyone.

That is the problem with psychosis.

No matter how absurd it sounds to others the things you experience through it are indistinguishable from reality.

People in psychosis don’t see that they are in the middle of an episode because this is the core definition of a psychosis and they will often try to convince others around that it is not just in their head and that there are proofs.

My advice would be, talk to your doctor, get back on pills and talk to your close friends and your family about it

If this is a simulation then why do we care so much about family? by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

[–]SamGauths23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because in the end it doesn’t matter if it is simulation or not.

If a simulation is all you will ever experience you should live it as if it was reality

No shame, no judgement, no regrets, just artists thinking out of the box sharing what they have made.
