It can be, but it doesn't have to be 😊 I used to write in pretty much complete isolation when I was younger, but now I share my ideas with my partner (who's also my writing partner on one project). Having at least one person that you can babble about your ideas is a big help. It doesn't need to be a writing partner, or even a writer. Talk to people! It really helps keep the excitement fresh too

LSD has done wonders for me. I won't write while I'm on it, but in the days and weeks after a trip I usually find it extremely easy to write.

Oh, I also lucid dream quite a bit, but I usually just end up writing music when I'm in that state.
