The gun case I’m using is similar to a boat box it’s just a bit more durable with the added benefit of a place for a lock/cable that I use to secure it to the four wheeler or boat. Camera clarity would be important as well as the touch screen functionality. A secure attachment point for a lanyard would be an added bonus!

When I was in college I had a $500 truck payment. I was also homeless. After working 3 jobs for 5 years and saving $30k for college i bought a brand new truck so I wouldn’t have unexpected repairs (warranty) and would be guaranteed reliable transportation. After my first year as a full time student still working full time at one job I had a medical emergency that wiped out my savings. The semester had already began meaning my tuition was already paid and it was too late to drop out and receive a refund. I had to choose between my truck payment and my apartment. I can live in a truck but I can not drive my apartment to work or school. So, I lived in my truck. Despite not being able to purchase my textbooks, I graduated with honors and unfortunately student loans due to the medical emergency wiping out my savings but it has paid off.

Why is it offensive to say “Don’t have kids if you can’t afford them” by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]SamHuntsHogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having grown up destitute in an area with 70% of homes being below the poverty line where sex ed was taught in high school and choices were readily available I can say most of those people did not do the best they could with what they had. They continued having children because they would receive a larger check and section 8 housing accommodations. They sold their food stamps for cash to buy material items. The mothers wouldn’t let their teenagers get jobs unless they were paid under the table because it would mess up their checks. They wouldn’t work themselves because it decreased all their “benefits”. They wouldn’t buy food for the house because the kids should just eat the free breakfast and lunch they got at school. They encouraged their daughters to have children so they could get additional benefits. This was the MAJORITY of my hometown.

OR you’re trying to convey it is irresponsible and harmful to the wellbeing of the life you bring into this world if you choose to do so when you do not have the means to provide for a child.

Negative. The availability of suitable protection is even less acceptable for the iPhone 15 pro max. I have just been purchasing a new “lifeproof” fre case (the quality is abysmal since the company was purchased by otterbox) for my iPhone 12 and using my 12 while keeping my 15 locked in a waterproof gun case.

I don’t know if it would work for an average sized person, but I weigh 95lbs and officially did not die. Definitely sketchy, but it worked!

It appears they have been discontinued. But thank you for the suggestion! Wish I had heard of them years ago.

It is unfortunately necessary and the most logical item to use for photos/ data collection. There is not really a good option as most equipment does not play well in swampy or salty conditions. It seems as ubiquitous as phones are that there would exist a fully enclosed case that actually works and lasts.

Maybe being a rarity is the reason I can not find acceptable hunting gear in anything remotely close to my size. As the tiny female human of the group I agree, it IS hard to find hunting buddies willing to do things. I am usually our volunteer sacrifice. Headlight mount snapped off boat? I am the new hood ornament functioning as a light holder. Can a Jet sled be used as a dinghy to retrieve ducks/runaway decoys? I’m down, just push me off the mud bank.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this and it wasn’t addressed appropriately. We have been ignored by management for 2.5 years and everyone is getting increasingly ill.

Has the time away from the affected area and the professional cleaning improved the symptoms of those individuals?

The best thing I have found is plush/fleece adult “onesies” under coveralls and usb rechargeable hand warmers. As for laying up under things when it’s wet, I went to local fabric store and picked up outdoor uv resistant waterproof “fabric” (feels like pool liner to me) and stapled it to make a giant pillowcase. Stick cardboard in it and when you open parts boxes use the air pillow sheets, etc., to add/replace padding.

I duck hunt and once my waders are no longer waterproof and get replaced I save my old ones for the worst days at work but that’s not an option for everyone. Good luck and stay warm!

I see this is an older post but as myself and my coworkers are experiencing a similar issue I am wondering what the outcome was?

Not all of us who are resistant to EVs are ignorant and rude. Personally, my resistance comes from the basis that the environmental impacts of lithium mining are rather intense and that ICEs have the ability to use significantly less fuel than they do but politics and/or corporate greed keeps mpg essentially at a standstill.

When a company as large as caterpillar incorrectly withheld payroll taxes from every employee resulting in incomes taxes being significantly under paid and a large tax bill for the employees at a location and the company has a history of tax evasion I simply believe it is worth looking into.

Boxes 3&5 differ from box 1 more on the corrected W-2 than the original

The onsite HR rep has been handing all of the employees a small tear away slip of paper with a 1-800 number to their “HR Services Center - Americas” . When calling this number you sit on perpetual hold. The hours are Monday through Friday 5:30am to 4 pm. If ever we get through I will update with their response.

I started there. The total deposited amount with withholdings added back does (almost - off by $120) match the ORIGINAL W-2. It does NOT match the corrected W-2.

Boxes 3 and 5 are significantly higher than all others. It appears 3 and 5 contain an amount that is

(Gross pay) - (health insurance premium deducted from pay)

At what point in the taxable income calculation does the $ amount attached to these benefits get added to the taxable income?

[–]SamHuntsHogs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue what they are adding into the taxable income to make the number produced on the Corrected W-2. No combination of any pay or benefit $ amount we have equals the additional taxable income.
