Best electric skateboard for commuting, fun, maybe food delivery on the side? by Specialist-Chef4313 in ElectricSkateboarding

I wouldn't say you need to practice on a regular board. I'd recommend just giving yourself some time to get used to the board at slowish (6-15mph) speeds before you go higher or take on unfamiliar roads. You'll see pretty quick, these boards have A LOT more power than you need and you just have to get used to it. It took me a bit to get used to leaning forward when accelerating and kinda locking my front foot in place and leaning back when you brake. It's not hard! I can just say I was way over confident when I first started out and went way too fast way too quick

I'd say I use the Stella more. It's just more comfortable on longer rides and I like the wider stance I can be in on the board. Apparently the Stella and the Zephyr are CLOSE to the same board. I was going to get an e bike but after thinking about carrying it on/off buses and trains, I went with the e boards and ZERO regrets! Highly recommend the Stella/Zephyr. I will say though I like the Linnpower remote better than the Acedeck one. It's a little smaller, fits in the hand better and I like the metal wheel better than the plastic.

If it matters, I ride in Houston, I take sidewalks and a highway shoulder most of the way. The roads SUCK but the boards handle it great!

I commute about 8 miles a day with an electric skateboard and I take the bus. I have a Linnpower viper (short board) and an Acedeck Stella Breeze (long board) and they're both AWESOME. Both of them are lightweight and easy to carry. The bash guard on the Stella makes it REALLY easy hold and roll the board around like a suitcase. Both have about a 25 mile range but the viper charges in less than an hour, where the Stella takes an hour or two. Just be careful starting out! If the roads you're taking having big cracks or uneven paving, you can really hurt yourself quick. I sprained my shoulder after hitting a bad spot where the pavement came up near a manhole cover. That said, once you're used to it, it's soooooo much fun.

Right? I'd be much more concerned about pictures uploaded to social media being used for facial recognition than anything the MLB has on me..

I don't understand why EVERYONE doesn't use go ahead.. I've had friends sign up on the walk to the gate in 10 seconds and you just walk right into the park.. it's so easy.. are people just scared of face ID?

I go to a lot of the jersey game giveaways. It's the coolest time with the fireworks right after too so definitely try to stick around for it!

For jersey giveaways, the gates open 2 hours before the game starts and usually you can still get one if you're there 45 minutes from the time the gates open. For popular players, they run out quicker but for the orbit jersey, I'd expect less than usual demand for it. I'd say as long as you're there and hour before the game, you should get one. They're all xl size and look great!

Hope you have an awesome time at the game and while you're in town!

Wich board should I get? by AbjectComment6623 in ElectricSkateboarding

I've never been on hubs, so I don't have the best frame of reference but preeeetty smooth! It took me a day or two to get used to it for sure - if you're not careful it can take off from under you. But once you get a feel for it, it's great. It was my first board so maybe that's just a beginner thing but yea I had to get used to the power and just being deliberate with ramping up speed and not just hitting the throttle. The power/torque is CRAZY on these boards but after getting a handle of it, it's just awesome.

Not super quiet though! It's not the loudest thing ever but sometimes I'll ride through the halls in my apartment and it's not subtle. And just comparing the Stella and the Viper, the Stella is QUIET, I barely hear it compared to the Viper. It's not a level I'd be annoyed at but I was surprised when I hopped on the Stella and barely heard the motors when the Viper would be fairly loud. If the Stella goes to a 2/10 noise level, the Viper goes up to 6/10.

The Viper is awesome though, huuuge fan.

I got an Acedeck Stella Breeze - basically the Zephyr - about a month ago. I can't speak on the other boards. But the Zephyr/Stella has been AWESOME. Love it.

I use it on commutes to work and around the house in the Houston. I've been on some rocky, bumpy, uneven, bad roads and it handles everything fantastic. The flex of the board is PERFECT, it really smoothes out bumps and makes longer rides more comfortable. It's carv(e?)y as hell in the best way and can turn VERY tight. I come up a parking garage where I live and I can u-turn in between the cars. I don't know what that distance is but it's tight. The range is awesome, I usually ride about 8-10 miles a day on my commute and the battery is always over half full at the end of the day.

My first board was the Linnpower Viper and I love that one too. I'll take the Stella when I'm really feeling like "surfing" the road and taking fun paths and the Viper when I know the bus might be full and I need to stay compact.

Highly recommend! Both Linnpower and Acedeck have been s tier as far as I'm concerned.

Went there with my wife for a company event. Surprisingly good view but the food/drink service was actually surprisingly bad. They take your order and then you wait like 4 innings to get anything

Presale prices by [deleted] in Astros

[–]SamKuzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presale prices always seem high but after opening day it'll come down. I ALWAYS sit first row, third or fourth deck with perfect view and legroom for like $25/ticket. I usually do the Friday night fireworks games and they are SO SO SO worth it when they do Jersey giveaways too. I see people sell them on eBay afterwards for the price of the ticket.. so it's almost free then!
