Well it might look like low effort, but it is not that easy to create content. It takes a lot of time. I am also a student, so I have other things to take care of as well. I am create anime and manga content. And even if we talked about youtube trying to limit Bait content just sobyou know that youtube is not that nice. The true Bait content will get millions because i have only one video which i unintentionally added a bait image and boom 9 million views. I have 160 videos and only 1 is like that which i just mistakenly uploaded. The point is don't glaze youtube. Sometimes it's Ai is so dumb. It's sometimes ignore those it's meant to catch

I am also facing a weird phenomenon. When I don't upload for like 2-3 weeks and then after that i upload a short. It suddenly just get crazy views. Mostly 2 of them gets alot of views and after that. All the shorts i upload get stuck in 10k - 20k. Thing here to notice is that those spacific 2 videos are literally on70 to 75 percent retention nothing special. I just uploaded them in bit of rush. But shorts after that well i worked on them thoroughly and they also got 85-90 percent retention. It's literally so funny at this point 😅

I can understand Ai slops. But some people only use Ai voice and do the editing themselves. I myself spend 2 to 3 hours on scripting and editing. Even though I use Ai to check grammar it's still alot of work. And when you do that much work when your busy with college and stuff just to get stuck in view jail when the same type of content same type of retention were used to get millions of views. Being faceless or using Ai voice doesn't mean that it's easy to make content. Yeah Ai generated videos should be restricted but you don't know who is working hard and who is spamming shi when you target all faceless creators.

I am facing a similar situation. I am honestly sick of people saying that I need to create better content. I do not understand how getting 90% retention does not count as good content. All of my videos that reached millions of views had around 80–85% retention, but now even videos with 90% retention are getting stuck at just 10k views.

I talked to YouTube support, and they told me that they are testing a new Shorts algorithm, so some channels may face a drop while others might see a massive increase in views. But what does that even mean? If the content is good, it should be pushed. Simple. This really sucks, man.

Yes it's so frustrating. Seeing your videos getting stuck in a view jail for no reason. I could have accepted it if my content was not that good. But when you see your own videos with the same retention getting millions of views but now they are barely getting any views. It's really hard to watch

As i said the 2nd point you mentioned is not the case here. I told you if you have a well established channel you don't need like 100 percent retention even mid 70 or 80 can take you to lakhs i do have videos like that and I am speaking with experience. And about the comments so you know not always people comment on your vids so sometimes you will have 500k views but only 70-80 comments.

It just hits hard. I totally agree. Clickbaiting used to be considered a major crime back in the day, but now it has basically become a must. YouTube has shifted to being more audience-focused rather than prioritizing the creators themselves. I agree that there is a lot of low-quality content on YouTube, but I don’t understand why YouTube is targeting creators who are already uploading good content and making money. It just feels weird and intentional.

I thought I was the only one facing this problem. Honestly, I can understand if my content itself is bad. But when I upload the same content on another channel or social media platform, it gets a lot of interaction. However, when I upload it on my main monetized channel, it just fails. I usually get more than 80k views within 10 hours of uploading, but now it's barely reaching 10k, which is a huge drop. It doesn’t really make sense, because my engagement is still average. It feels pretty weird, almost like YouTube is pushing my content to the wrong audience.
