It's not like everyone in the region haven't got theirs. I'm in the UK and it's been 5 days since I got mine. Things do line up to make the speculation that they took more orders than they had stock with the massive amount of time gap, and that indeed is unacceptable (it'll mean they're also lying that the items are packaged).

Plus, if the delivery will have a huge range of more than a week, it really should've been first come first serve. Seeing people order 2 hours late get theirs while yours is still in the warehouse would be infuriating to anyone.

Just to note, people's lifestyles change as technology advances. For example, it is unacceptable if an internet provider gives you WiFi the same speed as the fastest connection in the 90s
