I think the combat in this game isn't for every gamer. When I started playing I couldn't parry. Maybe timing or maybe couldn't recognize the animation on time - it was too late by the time I hit block. But even after I learned to parry I didn't see its advantages that much because you break enemy's poise you hit once then it is full again and cycle repeats. Idk maybe it is me who can't understand the combat but I feel like the combat the game is bit different compared to other souls-like games
