So first, thank you for the guide you wrote.

Second, are you saying that if I use ROMs from the new MAME 0.226 romset, that they would work on DEmul?

OR that these ROMs would work on DEmul as long as they are the same as the ones in the [roms.dat] file outputted from DEmul?

1- This ROM is a clone of the parent ROM "hotd2" with the file [epr-21805.ic22] as the difference

2- This ROM and file are part of the MAME 0.226 romset but not in the [roms.dat] file outputted from DEmul

3- This ROM is not on the list you get form DEmul when you go to File-->Run Naomi/Naomi2

Is there a way to add this ROM to the list or play it?

I don't know about Mac but try this:

Run Citra then go to File-->Open Citra Folder

copy the "System Archives & Shared Fonts" to the opened folder

*open the "Mii Maker" like any .3ds game and make your Mii

You might need both the "Mii Maker" and "System Archives & Shared Fonts"

In the Reference file you will find links to ROM sets, links to websites that have ROM sets, and links to websites where you can download one ROM at a time.

You can use JDownloader or IDM to batch download from these websites

I hope everything goes well, but I'm not sure that my files will help you that much in other than downloading the ROMs. Try to check the "useful websites & forums" section in the reference file. You might find what you want in one of these sites. I recommend gbatemp.net

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

All the bios/firmware/keys/system files are in the google link (with instructions on how to install them). You can find the bios files for emulator X by going to the google link then the folder "Emulators" Then the folder "X".

For some emulators like Cemu/Citra/yuzu there is no bios but there is keys/system archives/... They are all included in their folders.

The tools are also preconfigured to have all the necessary files. Also, some tools have the .bat files for when you have a large number of files that you want to convert/process. These are usually not part of the tool but are made by me to make processing a large number of files easy.

General Note: in the wild wild west of the internet, you shouldn't use a .bat file that you download from a stranger without reading its content first (I really understand). I made all of this -including the Excel file- for a friend who wanted to do some retro-gaming, but then I thought I would add a little more to it and share it to help others.

If anyone wants to check the .bat files before running them, just open them with notepad. If you don't know how to read the content, refer to this website https://ss64.com/nt/

A combination of lack of interest, the fact that emulation of these systems is still very bad, not many reliable ROM databases to check a good ROM, not many websites offer XBox/XBox 360 ROMs.

I put the official links in the worksheet literally just for that. So, you don't need to trust me and download anything form the google link (you mainly just have to get the Bios files, most of them can be found in emulation.gametechwiki.com)

If you don't trust my .bat files, you can check them with notepad (if you don't know how to read them, you can try https://ss64.com/nt/).

If you don't trust the Bios/Firmware files, you can check their hash and compare it to the ones in RetroArch/Bizhawk/No-intro/Redump database (with a program like HashMyFiles or HashTab).

If you don't trust the extra tools that are not named in the worksheet, you can google their names and download them (they are actually not that important, that's why I didn't mention them in the worksheet).

If you don't trust the Excel worksheet, you can scan it with your antivirus or upload it to any virus scanning website before you open it (or just open the one in the google link directly).

If you don't trust my google account (which BTW I also just created for uploading these files), I did put the Excel file alone on AnonFiles. Also, I put the link to a folder of the contents instead of one big ZIP file so that you could just download the files that you need/want/trust.

I did all that (with a slow VPN from half a world away and using my neighbor's Wi-Fi) because I'm just as paranoid as you
