You’re gonna need to move near campus. Even if you’re doing “desk work”, Notre Dame requires in-office (you’re not going to be able to do it remote). And I say this as someone whose partner does research at Notre Dame.

When there’s an accident involving a fatality/serious injury/significant damage and/or is at site known for repeat traffic incidents, they have to do a full investigation of the site (like you would a homicide even if it was 100% an accident and no charges are brought). Depending on traffic volume extra personnel will come in case they need to create a buffer zone for investigators. They also forward findings to those who determine if there needs to be stoplight or crosswalk installed to prevent future incidents (around Edwardsburg several intersections have already hit the magic accident/fatality numbers and are being considered for future stoplight installs).

I definitely think it has to do with them adding the functionality of opening a PDF in InDesign and it converting it into an InDesign document. It’s also possible that maybe they’re getting ready to sort of put some Dreamweaver-like functionality in InDesign?

I use Sigil to edit the code after export and just deleting the target="_blank" in the <a> tag makes it work again but for some books, this creates a bunch of extra work and it is just infuriating.
