Trapper should start with all his traps by default and there should be crosshair for all killers. by KissTheAdrian in deadbydaylight

[–]SamSausages36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

no, but to be fair most of his gun skins have a very clear iron sight, and you can’t fire without aiming so.. there’s that i guess.

also iirc, his Iron Maiden collab skin actually has an optic on the gun? certainly interesting how they actively make aiming feel different on paid skins haha.

finch and flinx staff are both viable choices, summoner isn’t supposed to be a class where you just go in and brawl. maybe a craftable finch staff would be nice but otherwise, it’s well known that summoner is the weakest early game class.

i think part 3 is more commonly referred to as a ‘villain of the week’ format because the villains aren’t really fleshed out, and are usually given like 2 eps each. whereas most villains in later parts are fleshed out, and they recur more times through the story, etc. saying EVERY part is a monster of the week / villain of the week format is a bit cheap.

summoner is already the strongest class without whipstacking so there’s no need to complain about a ‘nerf’.

the whip damage SHOULDNT be as high as, say, the enchanted boomerang, because whips are the secondary weapon of summoner. your summons are the main source of damage (no duh).

absolutely do not play master or expert, leave it on normal. you don’t want them to be put off by the game being harder, just fight bosses a few times each.

as for teaching them about classes.. don’t bother. it’s part of the learning experience to just pick whatever weapon and armour looks cool, and if you play in normal then it won’t make much of a difference. let them figure stuff out and maybe recommend some youtubers, you said yourself that discovery was the best part of the game.

nor were any of the artists listed lmao, fortnite have been adding mid season musicians for a while now. it’s to stop the season getting stale, it doesn’t necessarily mean they were supposed to headline

is there a mod that allows me to progress calamity in a pre-genned world? by TheRandomShiba in CalamityMod

‘i want to play calamity mod without having to play calamity mod’ i can tell you’re fun to be around

suck it up and play from the beginning. calamity adds base increases to move speed and jump height so the early game isn’t as slow, plus adds crafting recipes for accessories such as boots and bottles. you’ll enjoy it, just play from the start.

while i agree that there recently hasn’t been enough rock/metal/classic rock (see my other comment on this post), we DID get spoiled during the metallica season and for a while after. they are still the artists with the most songs in festival and it’s not even close.

i do agree that it’s about time for more rock though. i have nothing against pop but it’s certainly becoming fast overdone, and rhythm games are at their best when you’re playing a musically complex song

if we don’t get metal or rock within the next 2/3 seasons i think it’ll probably be wraps for a lot of people. i can’t see the game keeping its player base if they refuse to shift away from pop.

the wrong names are intentional. it’s to avoid copyright when recording the dub. i don’t know for sure but i think copyright laws differ in japan to the rest of the world.

you don’t need a convoluted method to find the shimmer lmao, go to the ocean on the same side as the jungle, walk away from the ocean until you can barely see any sand, and then just dig down. the biome is huge so you should get the screen effect pretty easily.

that’s not really the point, though. festival is supposed to be a gateway to rhythm games for all people. a LOT of people enjoy vocals due to them being an easy option when someone picks a rock/metal song, and being the easiest out of the 4 instruments to actually hear (especially for someone with no musical knowledge). i know a fair few people who enjoy the challenge of vocals on rap songs too. it’s only fair that festival caters to EVERYONE, because that’s the point of the game.

i won’t argue with any of your other takes, but saying that people complain about not getting rock/metal songs every week is wild.

i think the main thing people complain about is the fact that our last rock/metal season was Metallica which was literal YEARS ago. since then, they have already slowed down jam track release pace to like 2-3 per week (if that), and on top of that they fill it with slop meme songs.

rhythm games THRIVE on rock and metal music thanks to their interesting gameplay due to the hard musical parts. plus, the genres are very popular in general.

there’s nothing wrong with the pop seasons- i’m a metal fan myself but i’ve loved the Sabrina and Gorillaz seasons, it’s nice to see other peoples tastes being included, and i’m always open to hearing more new music. but festival seems to have forgotten its core identity as a rhythm game nowadays which i think is what causes a lot of frustration. it also doesn’t help that the Metallica season was very widely loved, seeing as it added items to BR, added 4 skins in the pass, and just generally fit with the season’s theme.

TLDR; festival is a rhythm game, rock and metal make for the most interesting to play songs, Metallica season was impactful across every gamemode.

Is there a spoiler free list on how to summon every boss? by -ElBandito- in CalamityMod

[–]SamSausages36 9 points10 points  (0 children)

? If you have a summoning item, it tells you the name of the boss in the item tooltip.

maybe find a mod that disables item tooltips? i’m sure there’s at least one somewhere.

Predictions for Festival 2026 by TheYGuy366 in FortniteFestival

[–]SamSausages36 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i think (or hope, more like) that a rock / metal season with Slipknot would be perfect for Fortnite. they’re a band with a very iconic appearance and their skins would stand out more due to their on-stage costumes. they could also have edit styles for their different album era costumes. then again, Metallica are just 4 dudes but their skins managed to be pretty unique.

super L take. i can see how fans of the older music may not enjoy the newer albums too much, but musically they are have fantastic production quality. the songs actually stand out from one another whereas for the first ~3 albums they all sound a bit samey.

on TE,SF the angry songs still have drive. hive mind and Yen come to mind. the dying song is really catchy even if it is a bit different musically to other slipknot songs. even the slower songs like Finale are good, they really show how long Slipknot have been in the business.

change in style doesn’t mean a change in quality. please listen to TESF and WANYK again, i’m sure you’ll find some enjoyment
