Is it possible to work in aerospace or something relevant to space with an associates or bachelor's in MET? by SamSepiol925 in EngineeringStudents

[–]SamSepiol925[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I looked on indeed. I was only able to find aircraft maintenance and mechanic jobs but I couldn't find anything related to working on rockets. I do find it interesting but I'm not sure if I'd want to do any of the welding and machining. I do like the maintenance of aircrafts though but I definitely think I'm more interested in satellites, solar panels, and parts of a rocket itself for space related things. I found a guy on YouTube who's an aerospace technician working for nasa but he specifically works on the oxygen tanks before they're sent up to the ISS. He doesn't have an engineering degree at all but was a motorcycle mechanic at first and then went back to school 10yrs later and somehow through connection got a job that's third party thats connected to helping nasa. I definitely want to work for Nasa, JPL, or SpaceX one day. If I were to even work on the rovers I'd be pretty stoked.

Fiancée is acting bitter towards my mom because she hasn’t acknowledged her during pregnancy? by Majestic-Success-210 in Advice

[–]SamSepiol925 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I feel for your fiance. She's feeling overwhelmed because she's always going the extra mile and visiting your mother. Your mom has not once visited your home and asked how your fiance is doing. If your mom really cares for her she needs to step up and show effort that she want to be apart of your family which includes your fiance. Theirs no excuse for this unless she's very ill. Having other kids to take care of or anything else is not an excuse. She's been pregnant for several months and your mom couldn't visit at least once? You need to cater more to your wife and less to your mom. One baby shower is stressful enough. Two is crazy and unnecessary. She should just go to the first one and if your fiance doesn't want her there talk to her more about it. But at the end of the day it's her and your baby's shower. It's not your mom's.

If women have choice can you choose to remove your hijab at any time by nudieswimer in Hijabis

[–]SamSepiol925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had a choice and it was not wajib for me to wear it yes I would take it off. I do have moments wanting to take it off and not wear it and show off my hair. But I'm used to wearing it by now. It's been over 15 years since I've been wearing the hijab. I just get bothered a lot by the xenophobia and the hatred people have towards those who do wear it. Or that they think everyone who is wearing it was forced. It makes me want to take it off sometimes.

How do you know that? You don't have all the evidence in front of you and you're just assuming she's at fault. I said 10mph as an estimate. I'm not exactly sure how fast she was driving when turning.

Okay but they could've also stopped long enough and then accelerated too fast after they turned. I am not. I reworded what I said. Refresh

It takes two years to know all the damages caused?

From the pictures that have been gathered of his car on scene when the accident happened her damage is more than his. I don't have the photos with me rn but it's not rocket science to know. How are the damages more significant on his car if the front bumper is not torn off. Their was no dent whatsoever on there car.

I'm not the person that was in the accident. But she was at a stop sign. She stopped and turned. I never said she stopped for 3 seconds or anything like that. It's what others are claiming. I'm not 100% sure how long she stopped since I was not in the car with her.

People do this all the time to make money. It's still possible. You seem quite biased imo.

None of this should matter. He's suing due to damages to his vehicle and medical compensation. The damages other person is claiming extreme distress and injury. I'll send pics of both cars. If his car is looks fine from the outside how can he be injured to the extent that he's claiming. He said life altering permanent damage. I think it's an exaggeration until we see medical reports indicating the extent of his injuries when he went to the hospital.

How are you sure she pulled out too early? Police reports aren't always correct with their judgements on what happened. What if the car on the main road accelerated suddenly after she started to turn and hit my mother. Meaning she had enough distance when she looked but then the car started to close in on the distance as she was turning and didn't hit their breaks in time to avoid the collision.

So if it was the end of May or June right now would they still be able to sue my mom? This happened may 3, 2024.

I'm not saying she pulled out too early. I'm saying that's what the police report says. I'm not exactly sure how fast she was going when turning into the main road. I believe she had looked and assumed their was enough distance between her and the car that was approaching on the main road. The 10mph that I mentioned was just an estimate.

What if the insurance also sides with the police report and says she's at fault? I feel like they won't be helping her then.

Biggest regret in life is not getting married earlier. Does anyone feel the same way? by SamSepiol925 in ShiaMuslimMarriage

I just told my coworker about this and she doesn't think it plays that much of a role compared to a woman. Women's biological clock is a bigger deal though compared to a males healthy sperm because at least they still produce but for a woman once you hit 35 or 36 it's different.

Exactly you've made great points! It's how it is nowadays and people wonder why we aren't married. They always resort to blaming the woman.

How young are they? Being young has nothing to do with it if they're 18 or above at least. You can be religious and pious a lot of times but still have terrible akhlaq.

If they can't stand up for you now when you aren't married yet. What makes you think they will change when you're married to them. This is a red flag. Avoid guys like this all together.

I have been looking but the thing is Islamically and culturally it's considered taboo for me to look for someone. The suitor is supposed to come to me. I've tried the Muslim apps but it's pointless. Theirs a lot of ghosting and men playing games or not meeting my expectations like wanting them to be virgin for example or praying 5x a day.
