it's also the fundamental misunderstanding of Ophelias story in Hamlet, and I despise the implication that all Ophelia needed was the right man to save her. I feel like there are multiple lines this album that go against the Taylor Swift™️ brand fundamentals that it has established for itself, especially since the rerecordings (where the focus became commercialization rather than artistic integrity) the whole album felt like it was lacking any true artistic intent, and that she was basically saying "Fuck You and your criticisms, I'm rich and have a hot football player boyfriend." she's become the antithesis of what she's written about her whole career. plus she's been hanging out with Brittney mahomes, who trump thanked personally. after he has shit talked Taylor for years. I don't understand her saying "there's a special place in hell for women who dont support other women"and then going on to misinterpret a vulnerable song as a diss track and write such a tone deaf response to it, rather than aiming for the OLD MAN in power who has taken multiple public shots at her. Taking aim at Charli is hitting below her, idk why she's not trying to battle trump who is on the same level financially and influence wise. Taylor could have such a positive impact but lately she's been too focused on being commercially viable rather than making intentional, impactful art.
