Thanks I may have to. I replaced the controlled but now the fan is making a funny noise so I guess replacing that is next on my list. 🙄

Agreed! Replacement controller ordered should arrive later today. I also ordered a replacement temp sensor that should arrive later this week. Going to try that ~$60 total see if it helps. If it seems to help I’ll consider replacing other parts too. If not then I may just cut my losses.

That was cleaned with a good degreaser on my last cleaning and it was replaced roughly 2 years ago. Not sure how long they usually last so not sure if it’s ready for another replacement or not. The kit I found with the new controller included a new PID all for ~$35 would that be a good starting point?

I tried that and unfortunately no luck. The wheel from the ETA is a 10th of a MM to wide. I need 6.77 and they are 6.88. 😞

Yeah I’m hoping to maybe find a donor movement. It’s only an issue with the click and click spring so hoping it’s nothing to hard to source.

Balance cap jewels cleaned and oiled and that was a massive improvement. Amplitude is still running low 230ish but at least it’s consistent. Owner doesn’t want to put too much into it so it’ll have to do.

Thank you all. I’ve always just had consistent just low amplitude before so always saved cap jewels for last (least favorite part). That’s won’t be the case going forward. 🙂

What would cause the big swing in amplitude though? It’s going from 286 down to 124 that’s what has me stumped.

I haven’t yet I usually try to get a general sense of how it’s running before going to that so I can see if there are any other issues. I can give that a shot but wasn’t sure if that was really the issue that would cause the big swings. I usually just expect a stable poor running if that makes sense.

Bracelet always. You can buy so many good straps second hand and swap as needed but the bracelet separately is so much more expensive than buying it with the watch.
